5. 1. Indra Nooyi
• She is 56 and is currently Chairman & CFO of the 2nd
largest food & beverage business, PepsiCo.
• Born & brought up in Chennai she completed her
Bachelor’s degree in Science from Madras Christian
College in 1974
• In 1976 she was a Post Graduate Diploma in Management
(MBA) from Indian Institute of Managemnet, Calcutte
• In the beginning of her career in India she worked as a
Product Manager at Johnson & Johnson & textile firm
Mettur Beardsell
• She joined PepsiCo in 1994 & became President & CFO in
2001
• She received prestigious Padma Bhushan for her business
achievements & for being an inspiration to India’s corporate

• She is 55 & presently is the Group General Manager &
Country Head of HSBC India
• Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Delhi
University & is a MBA from Harvard Business School
• As a matter of fact she is the 1st Indian woman to graduate
from Harvard Business School
• Began her career with ANZ Grindlays
• Currently is also serving as a Non-Executive Director on the

• She is 59 & is the Founder Chairman and Managing Director
(CMD) of Biocon Ltd.
• Born in Bangalore she did her Bachelor’s in Zoology from Mount
Carmel College, Bangalore University
• Later she completed her Post Graduation from Ballarat College,
Melbourne University in Malting and Brewing
• At Carlton and United Breweries, Melbourne she worked as a
trainee brewer & at Barrett Brothers and Burston, Australia as a
trainee maltster
• In 1978 she started Biocon & spearheaded its evolution from an
industrial enzymes manufacturing company to a fully integrated
bio-pharmaceutical company
• Today Biocon under her leadership has established itself as a
leading player in biomedicine research with a focus on diabetes &

• She is 51 & presently the MD and CEO of India’s largest
private bank ICICI Bank
• She was born in Rajasthan
