Derek Freeley é Vice Presidente Executivo do Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), tem responsabilidades executivas por conduzir estratégias do IHI em cinco áreas de atuação: desenvolvimento de habilidade; cuidado centrado no paciente e família; segurança do paciente; qualidade; custo e valor; e grande foco em populações. Antes de integrar a equipe do IHI em 2013, foi diretor geral de saúde e assistência social e diretor executivo do National Health Service (NHS) na Escócia.
Stephen Muething é Médico, Vice Presidente de Segurança no Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC), Professor Associado de Pediatria e um pediatra atuante. Durante a primeira década de sua carreira clínica atuou desenvolvendo a assistência pediátrica, tanto no âmbito ambulatorial quanto hospitalar, em uma região rural no sudeste de Indiana, Estados Unidos

10. Some examples from IHI offerings
The following list gives an overview of many of the capabilities that IHI offers. Some of
these services are existing public enrollment programs, while others can be customized for
your organization.
Improvement Advisors/Experts: By training select individuals within the organization to
become Improvement Advisors (IAs) or quality/safety experts and coaching them to get
results on the strategic improvement initiatives they are working on.
Training and Professional Development: By helping the organization deliver key
professional development programs in quality and safety, enabling it to build capacity in the
region. Such programs may include: Executive Quality Academy, Improvement Science in
Action, and Breakthrough Series College.
Innovation and Research & Development: By training the organization on how to
establish and manage an effective research and development method that will enable
innovation.
