2. ENGINEERING PROJECT DETAILS:
Title Programmable logic control of Induction motor
Technology PLC
Description Main objective of this Project is to make automation in Industries
ENGINEERING PROJECT ABSTRACT:
 The implementation of a monitoring and control system for the Induction Motor based on
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) technology is described.
 Also the implementation of hardware and software for speed control and protection with
results obtained from tests on Induction Motor performance is provided.
 The PLC correlates the operational parameters to the speed requested by the user and
monitors the system during normal operation and under trip conditions.
 Test of Induction motor system driven by inverter and controlled by PLC, it proves higher
accuracy in speed regulation as compared to a conventional v/f control system.
 The efficiency of PLC control is increased at high speed up to 95% of the synchronous speed.

 Working as a M&E Engineer from 20.09.2010 to current date in Dragages Singapore Pte.
Ltd.
 Worked as a Design Engineer from 22.06.2009 to 03.06.2010 in Thrisha Electricals and
Engineering, Trichy.

 It is currently delivering several high end projects in Singapore, including Quayside Residences
and Pinnacle Collection in Sentosa Cove. Past references include the prestigious Sail @ Marina
Bay, the Fullerton and the Ritz-Carlton Hotels. Dragages has been leading the consortium that
won the Singapore Sports Hub PPP contract in August 2010 and will complete its construction
in April 2014.
RESPONSIBILITIES WERE:
 Day-to-day preparation and management of the design, including co-ordination with our
Structural and Architectural designers as well with all different sub-contractors.
 Designing and ensuring all design plans as per specifications by considering all standard CP-5
regulations and also to follow the consultant and Architect comments.
 Resolving any technical difficulties and problem that may arise on Design.
 Monitoring the site work with our Design whenever necessary.

 It is a contractor company.
 They undertake all types of Electrical work, Erection and commissioning of all Electrical
Equipments.
 Drawing preparation and consultation for commercial buildings, power plants and LT
Industries.

 To prepare site plan after visit the industry.
 To Prepare Physical layout by visit the industry after civil work completion.
 To Calculate Cable rating, capacitor ratings, length and size of cables required to install

PROJECTS HANDLED IN DRAGAGES SINGAPORE PVT LTD.,:
1.THE VENUE RESIDENCE:(MAY 2014 – TILL DATE)
The Venue, a mid-range condominium close to Potong Pasir MRT station, featuring 266
units and 28 shops in four 18 storey blocks and a low rise building with 3 levels of basement
carpark. The difficult ground conditions in deep marine clay prompted our engineering team
to propose a safe and competitive alternative basement construction method which made our
bid particularly attractive. The project strated from 10th February 2014 and is committed to
complete the project in 31 months. The Architect is AEDAS and the structural engineer
Meinhardt;
2.The ARDMORE PARK:(SEP 2012 - JAN 2014)
The Ardmore Project, 1 block of 36 storeys condominium flats development (total 34 units)
with 2 basement carparks, swimming pool and communal facilities at orchard.
3.CUBE-8:(SEP 2010 – AUG 2012)
Cube-8, existing condominium housing developmentcomprising 1 block of 36-storey
residential apartments (177 units) with common basements, landscape deck, carparks and
communal facilities at thomson road.
JOB SCOPE:
 Designing the CSD PLAN & SECTION for units, common areas, sky terraces and pre-cast
toilets.
 Managing the project progress.
 Preparing drawings for builder’s works.
 Preparing monthly progress report and handling one drafter under me.
