NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT POLICY

2. OBJECTIVES
• National unity will be the final goal of the NDP as a united
community is important to strengthen the social and
political stability and maintain sustainable economic
development.
• NDP helps to achieve a development nation status in all
respects in terms of social, values, ethics and moral,
political stability, quality of life, efficiency of government,
and economic excellence.

3. IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY
• Maintain the basic strategy NDP is eradication of poverty
and restructuring society to improve social and economic
imbalances between the races and this will contributes to
strengthen national unity.
• To ensure balanced development of main economic
sectors (mining, services, agriculture)
• Building a society that has social value and appreciate the
positive feeling of pride and patriotism.

4. IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY(contd..)
• Reduce and eliminate social inequality and to promote
the sharing of national economy in more fair and equitable
benefits.
• Reduce the inequitable in economic development between
states and between urban and rural areas.
• Ensure appropriate attention is given to environmental
protection and ecology so that in the long term to ensure
sustainable development of country contained.
• Making science and technology as an integral part of the
planning and socio-economic development

5. CONCLUSION
• NDP will continue efforts to reduce economic imbalance
not only among ethic group but also between the rich and
between regions.
• Economic imbalances will be reduced based on the
principle of balanced development and equitable
distribution to achieve strengthen national unity.
