    Vision
    itSMF USA will be the premier and trusted organization
    leading the advancement of the service management
    profession for members at all levels.

    Mission
    itSMF USA is a non-profit association dedicated to
    building a community of professionals for the
    purpose of networking, knowledge sharing, and
    education to advance the service management
    profession and strengthen our members.

    FUSION 10
     – Registration continues to be strong
     – Attendance numbers continue on-track to exceed last year’s
       attendance
     – Planning for the CIO Forum at FUSION 10 is complete;
       registration and marketing underway

    “Friend of the LIG” program
     – 90-day pilot underway with three LIGs (Austin, Ohio Valley,
        San Diego)
     – Intended to strengthen the relationship between local ITSM
        vendors and LIGs

     – Two universities currently delivering this simulation


    Case Completion Model submitted for the student competition at
    Fusion11

    The Forum will feature articles on “Engaging the Business” in its

    priSM
     – The “priSM Passport”, the program for issuing and tracking
        Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits at
        FUSION has been established.
     – priSM Registry webpage launching in August


    New LIG Leaders Training Committee has launched
     – Focus initially on President, Membership Chair, and Secretary
     – Q4, 2010 launch target
     – Two categories of training
          On-boarding – for those new in their LIG Leadership role
          On-going –training for sustained LIG operations

August BoD Meeting Highlights

    Nominations for election to the 2011 Board of Directors are closed.
    Candidate interview process underway

    The revised IG Affiliation Agreements have been presented to IG
    leaders for feedback
     – Goal is to have all LIGs under new Affiliation Agreement by
       Fusion.

    itSMF USA 2010 Award program recipients selected and approved
    by the Board

     – Steve Janssen (Dallas/Ft Worth LIG) confirmed as Registration
       Services Director for the priSM Institute
     – Dave Howard (Greater Los Angeles LIG) joins the IG Mentoring
       Council
     – LIG Leaders Training Committee named
          Cathy Beykzadeh (National Capital LIG)
          Pat Connelly (New England LIG)
          David Nottingham (Central North Carolina LIG)

       within itSMF USA website continue
     – Event Management payment option, New web front page
       prototype under test

     LIG Challenge winners
      – 138 New voting members June 1 – August 15
      – Fusion pass going to a new member in:
            Greater Los Angeles LIG: 17 new voting members!
            The winning new member will be notified this week!
      – priSM applications
            6 new applications received in July / Early August
            Thank you LIGs for continuing to promote priSM!
