This document outlines the current state of chemistry in the UK and proposes next steps to develop a vision for UK chemistry. It provides data on the economic, social, and environmental impacts of chemistry as well as research funding and capabilities. It also examines skills, education, and engagement to identify areas for improvement and growth towards realizing a vision for UK chemistry by 2020. Key working groups and a process of town hall meetings, reports, and ongoing work are outlined to develop recommendations and achieve the vision.
