It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Rachelle Foley as part of her
application for the 2008 Gensler Brinkmann Scholarship for interior design students. Rachelle is
in her senior year at The Art Institute of Phoenix’s CIDA-accredited Bachelor of Arts Interior
Design degree program. During her student years here, Rachelle has not only been personally
successful in her studies maintaining a high CGPA (to date 3.8) but has demonstrated
commendable leadership qualities within and outside the classroom.
Rachelle has demonstrated through her creativity, sound critical thinking skills, and systematic
space planning processes, that she can produce quality student design projects. Combined with
her conscientious work ethic and mature attitude, she personifies the professional traits and
qualities necessary to be an exceptional interior designer. Rachelle’s student projects have
regularly been on display at our school as exemplars for other students. Her Corporate Design
project, Laudo, was selected by faculty and industry representatives for exhibition at the Vangard
Office Concepts/Teknion showroom opening held April 10, 2008 in Tempe, Arizona where well-
known designer Carl Magnussen discussed his work with local professionals and students.
My faculty and I believe Rachelle is a worthy applicant and have encouraged her to pursue this
opportunity as she enters her final studies and prepares for an entry-level position and
professional career as an interior designer. We wish her all the best in this endeavor.
Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
