There is someone who keeps alive us - the trees. Deforestation is permanently destroying forests to make land available for other uses. It contributes to 6-12% of global carbon emissions annually. The top deforesting countries are Indonesia, Brazil, Democratic Republic of Congo. Reasons include agriculture, logging, urbanization, and mining. Effects are decreased rainfall, soil erosion, floods, wildlife extinction, and reduced water cycles and air quality. Solutions proposed are restricting tree felling, banning clear cutting, replacing cut trees, and global forest monitoring. India has 19.27% forest cover but faces loss due to needs for land and growth. Everyone must be aware of deforestation and work towards solutions.
9. Deforestation is the permanent destruction of
forests in order to make the land available for
other uses
Deforestation occurs around the world,
though tropical rainforests are
particularly targeted.
About 36 football fields worth of trees lost every minute

11. The country with the most deforestation is Indonesia. Since the last
century, Indonesia has lost at least 15.79 million hectares of forest

20. Curb the felling of trees, by employing a series
of rules and laws to govern it
Clear cutting of forests must be banned
Cutting must be replaced by planting
young trees to replace the older ones
that were cut

26. With desperate need for land for agricultural, industrial
and most importantly urban needs to contain cities and
their growing population, a direct action that we have
come to recognize as “Deforestation” occurs.
Everyone should aware of deforestation and helps to
achieve solution. We are grateful for getting opportunities
to present such a real and serious topic. This presentation
has highly influenced us and learnt us about the care of
trees.
