2. The principles of design describe the ways
that artists use the elements of art in a
work of art. Balance is the distribution of
the visual weight of objects, colors, texture,
and space. If the design was a scale, these
elements should be balanced to make a
design feel stable.
3.
4.
5. An even distribution of weight enabling someone
or something to remain upright and steady or A
situation in which different elements are equal or
in the correct proportions.
There are 2 types of balance :-
1.symmetrical balance
2.Asymmetrical balance
6.
7. Emphasis is defined as an
area or object within the
artwork that draws
attention and becomes a
focal point. Subordination is
defined as minimizing or
toning down other
compositional elements in
order to bring attention to
the focal point.
8. Contrast is the difference in
luminance or colour that makes
an object (or its representation
in an image or display)
distinguishable. In visual
perception of the real
world, contrast is determined by
the difference in the color and
brightness of the object and
other objects within the same
field of view state of being
strikingly different from
something else in juxtaposition
or close association.
9. The principle of proximity is
simply the process of ensuring
related design elements are
placed together. Any unrelated
items, should be spaced apart.
Close proximity indicates that
items are connected or have a
relationship to each other and
become one visual unit which
helps to organise or give
structure to a layout.
10. Definition. Rhythm is the
repetition or alternation of
elements, often with defined
intervals between
them. Rhythm can create a
sense of movement, and can
establish pattern and texture.
11. Proportion refers to the relative
size and scale of the various
elements in a design. The issue is
the relationship between objects,
or parts, of a whole. This means
that it is necessary to
discuss proportion in terms of the
context or standard used to
determineproportions.
12. Rhythm is the flow depicted
in a visual. Rhythm helps
direct eye movement.
Patterns or shapes can help
achieve harmony. By
repeating patterns in an
interesting arrangement, the
overall visual image comes
together
13. Unity is the relationship
among the elements of a
visual that helps all the
elements function
together. Unity gives a
sense of oneness to a visual
image. In other words, the
words and the images work
together to create meaning.
