HR manager works through a problem directly with the
employee. The HR department may also assume
responsibility for, recruiting, compensation training,
employee safety and employee welfare.
The HR manager must possess following skills:
 1) Communications Skills :- HR managers must express
themselves clearly orally, and in writing. Speaking
comfortably to people, the ability to listen with
understandings will provide trust of others to HR
manager.

2) Business skills :- . The HR manager must also have
the business skills necessary to understand how the
human resources function fits into the organization’s
strategic plans as it moves forward. It means the HR
manager must know how to contribute to the
organization’s master plan through staffing, training
and development, and other areas under his/her control
and influence.


3) Understanding People:- HR managers must
become skilled at understanding not only what a
person is telling him, but also what that person is
saying through non-verbal communications and
voice inflections. this skill may help reveal whether a
person is telling the truth about a problem or not.


4) Sense of Fairness:- HR managers balances
the goals of the organization with the needs of the
people who work there. Sometimes, that means
advocating for workers, and other times it means
enforcing the organization’s rules. Either way, the
HR manager considers what is fair, and what is
consistent with the organization’s past practices.


5) Organizational Skills:- HR manager must
also follow a systematic, orderly approach when
working through the problems. Staying
organized increases the manager’s personal
efficiency, and it strengthens his/her ability to
handle multiple problems at once.

