 Google Inc. is known for its
excellent talent management.
 Their main goal is employee
retainability.
 To retain an employee, the
company makes use of various
approaches and methods.
 The organization mainly focuses
on motivation and reward-based
strategies.
 The need-based approach is
utilized. This means that the
organization gives importance to
employee needs.
 This includes employee benefits
and rewards which helps the
organization retain talent.
 The workforce is provided with a
favourable work environment at
their workplace and are
encouraged with group thinking
and teamwork.
 The organization assigns
purposeful and manageable
worker groups. This helps the
workforce to collaborate with
their own group as well as other
groups.
 Google’s work structure is flat. This
means the employees have more
freedom to cultivate their creativity.
 The company has managed to attain a
balance between employees’ personal
needs and the organization’s need for
productivity.
 This means a total reward system for
employees which in turn leads to
individual motivation and higher
productivity
Google has two main approaches:
 Side projects: The company allows
20% of employees' time to work on their
own personal projects on the side other
than the ones they are doing for the
company. This promotes innovation
among employees that could also bring
new ideas to the company
 Flextime policies: The company also is
very flexible with working schedules.
Thus work-life balance is achieved
easily
