• Critical period for crop-weed competition:
In dwarf wheat - 30-40 DAS
In tall wheat - 35-50 DAS
• Yield reduction up to - 20-40%
• Dwarf varieties of crops are more susceptible to weed crop
competition than the tall because initially they grow slowly

and thus prove to be more efficient than many other
methods of weed controle.
