MISSION & VISION
Our mission is to assist students in their preparation for career
success by providing them opportunities to experience the connection
between work and learning. The focus of the Cooperative Education
and Work-Based Learning Program is to facilitate the placement of
qualified students in work experiences that are directly related to their
major and career goals. The Cooperative Education and Work-Based
Learning staff is focused on the program’s mission and meeting the
needs of our customers—students, faculty and employers.
We strive to provide quality services by maintaining highly
professional, efficient and effective programs. To this end, we rely
heavily on a strong working partnership with academic affairs, all
academic colleges, participating employers, employer advisory group,
faculty advisory groups, alumni association and other university
departments, including Admissions, Career Services, the Controller’s
Office and Registrar. With their cooperation and support we are more
effective at reaching our goals.
WSU’s Cooperative Education Office
hosted the 2006 National Kappa Theta
Epsilon Convention. For the KTE national
convention, students toured Cessna
Aircraft and the National Institute for
Aviation Research. KTE is an honors
society for coop students.
