2. History of Sawut
Srawut is
a traditional food made from cassava shavings ar
e brownish yellow and sprinkled with grated
coconut on
top. brownish yellow color in this srawut derived
from java sugar. Srawut came from Java,
especiallyYogyakarta (according to my Mom).
Sawut derived from the
word Srawut or serawutan. srawut in the Java
language means 'mess', because we can see
from the form srawut a mess because a lot
of cassava shavings and become one
5. How To Make
1. Put all grated cassava to the steamer then steam for 10 minutes
add another ingredients.
2. Mix with grated palm sugar and stir well with big spoon.
3. Add a teaspoon of salt
4. Steam again about 60 minutes
5. Take all cassava from steamer to the bowl
6. Sprinkle with grated coconut on the top of Sawut
