The U.S and Japan have collaborated on many issues such as, global health, environmental and
resource protection, and women’s empowerment. On the topic of women’s empowerment
Japan is currently at an alarmingly disproportionate rate of female suicides, and ever increasing
amongst the COVID-19 crisis creating an already intense disparity within the country. This
suicide rate is based upon the professional opportunities that are provided to women within the
country. Women tend to get placed in jobs that are part time, retail work, and disposable jobs,
making it easy to fire employees that are not in prominent or permanent positions. What is more
alarming that majority of these women are mothers.
The United States is in no way perfect we do have our own disparities on equality, in a
patriarchal environment, however this provides an opportunity to help fill the gap of women’s
equality, hopefully empowering the ideals of equality professionally and socially providing open
and equal opportunity for women in the country, possibly aiding in the reduction of lost lives and
financial struggle. (J. Gold).

is proving itself as a worthy candidate to expand operations within the region and gradual,
overtime this can not only prove profitable it can aide in balancing social and economic disparity
a win, win for both parties.
