• The subject interests me as I have always had an interest with movies, growing up watching these movies has inspired me
learning of the insight to how much work goes into one scene and how even the most insignificant seeming role can be
crucial to a films production. It also fascinates me seeing how different directors can come up with their own unique
products like Tim Burton, John Carpenter and Tobe Hooper who all have created memorable films that made a mark in the
industry inspiring causing the world of film and media to become a fascinating subject for me kickstarting my passion for
the said industry's. Halloween and Texas Chainsaw Massacre are movies that are not only two examples of great work in
film, and even though they were released almost half a century ago, they stood the test of time and hold up as both
innovative and creative movies from whereas even with today's modern horror films using advanced film making
techniques, they aren't as good as the classics that led the way and made the horror genre as big as it is today. The fact
that these films are a good argument as to what inspired many predecessors after it is why I'm so interested in film and
media, to gain those skills and knowledge to hopefully be in a media-related career so I can grow up to be like those
directors who inspired me and my path onto my path into media.

I think I'm suitable for this course because of my passion for media and films, I'm willing to put in the work necessary to
learn as much on this course as possible as well as put the skills I already have to use and gain more information to make
those already used skills to use and I'm eager to learn new skills that can be paired with my other skills to make my overall
work as good as it can be
my previous/current course is creative media level 3, it is relevant to the course(s) I have chosen because it’s all to do with
film and media work, whether its journalism, social media, blog posts or film/tv, it all ties into the course I am wanting to
apply to
6. • my skills vary from cinematography work as well as some experience with photography meaning I have
knowledge on many different camera angles and have put them into practice in college projects as part of
my course.
I also have experience working outside of the classroom to complete my various assignments and projects,
as well as my exposure to making and adding to my own blog that I use to document my work and a YouTube
channel that I use to have as further online documentation of my filming work, first drafts and final drafts of
my projects, as well idea pitches, idea feedback recordings and B-roll footage used in some of my projects,
meaning I am used to keeping my work up to date inside and outside of the class room proving my
organisational skills
I worked at Young Asian Voices where i did photography and social media work for them and working on the
media side of it, i learned how to work with people from a wide variety of ages, cultures and backgrounds,
this is important as you'll never know who you'll be working with in the media industry, it also helped me
learn more and put more practice into my photography skills, it also taught me patience and persistence
with my work and collaborating with others to expand on my ideas or make my ideas better
with the knowledge i have gained i would like to go into a role in film such as director, producer or go into
photographer as that has been my dream since i was little and i would love a chance to be a part of the
media industry to add to its history and be more people's inspiration for going down the media career path
