A project management professional with 22 years in the consulting engineering industry. Primary project
management experience includes scope and contract development, staff management, schedule control,
quality control, cost control, earned value management and client communications.
HDR – Folsom, CA 05/2009 – 12/2015
HDR – Nashville, TN 01/2016 – Present
(Project Management; Planning and Design Phase Services)
• Currently providing project management and design services for a $30 million Corps of Engineers’
levee rehabilitation project.
• Provided design services for a $20 million and a $30 million Corps of Engineers’ levee/floodwall
projects. Managed civil design group services for a local municipality’s $100 million levee project.
• Served as the quality control manager on several large $100 million civil works levee/floodwall
programs in central US.
• Provided quality control auditing services for the HDR Quality Office. Also served as Quality
Control Technical Lead for HDR’s Northern California Water Business Group.
HDR – Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern Project Office – Sioux Falls, SD 01/2008 – 04/2009
(Program/Project Management; Planning and Design Phase Services)
• Provided water resources program and project management support for the Dakota, Minnesota &
Eastern Railroad’s $2.4 billion railroad expansion project in MN, SD and WY.
• The project included preliminary engineering and permitting activities for approximately 260
miles of new heavy-haul rail line and approximately 600 miles of rehabilitated existing DM&E
mainline to meet heavy-haul standards. Approximately 370 major hydraulic structures were planned.
• Coordinated five remote HDR and HNTB water resource teams to provide hydraulic design.
HDR – USACE Project Office – New Orleans, LA 06/2006 – 12/2007
(Program/Project Management)
• Provided program and project management support for the USACE New Orleans District $15 billion
Hurricane Protection System. Served as project manager for a USACE senior project manager.
• Coordinated design/construction schedule management for over 70 high profile contracts consisting of
50 miles of levee, 10 miles of floodwall and 17 pump station modifications totaling approximately $2.0
billion.
• Developed and implemented a review/approval system for the small business acquisition plan
(approximately 240 contracts).
• Assisted the HDR Protection and Restoration Office Program Manager in maintaining communications
with the client and overseeing 30 contract employees.

HDR/FishPro – Springfield, IL 01/1994 – 05/2006
(Planning, Design and Construction Phase Services)
• Planned and managed all aspects of 12 multi-discipline fish hatchery projects totaling over $45 million
in 10 states and multiple water resource projects.
• Primary responsibilities included coordinating the work for multi-discipline design teams for hatchery
and water resource projects, developing contracts, facilitating design and production meetings, tracking
financial information and managing client communications.
• Renovated or constructed new hatchery facilities consisting of water supply and wastewater treatment
systems, backup power generation, fish incubation systems, fish rearing tanks/raceways/ponds, fish
rearing buildings, visitor centers, office space and site design. General treatment systems included
pumps, aeration, rapid sand filtration, rotating biological contactors, ultraviolet disinfection and water
tempering systems.
