FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Managerial
Liaise with Senior KCAD representative and Maintenance Supervisor on timescales, access, Permit to
Work, Working at Height and Health and Safety issues.
Supervise, inspect and direct work carried out by subordinates, trainees and agency personnel.
Accept the responsibility of a position as a supervisor in charge of a team of men maintaining a highly
organised and busy maintenance / inspection programme.
Undertake the management of quality assurance, health and safety at work and environmental
protection legal requirements.
Technical
Undertake scheduled maintenance and investigate, diagnose replace adjust and apply corrective
maintenance to mechanical items, sea and potable water systems, rig air supplies and hydraulic
systems and equipment.
Carry out planned maintenance and repairs to TDS3H, Swivel, Travelling Block, Crown, Mud Pumps,
Drawworks, HPUs, BOP, Koomey Unit, Diverter, Cement Units, CAT Engine Generators, Compressors,
Shale Shakers, fuel centrifuges and 3rd
party equipment during a busy decommissioning programme.
Effect major repairs and embody modifications to Drilling equipment including hydraulic systems,
entailing identification and insertion of detailed parts, measurement of bearing free play and annual
overhauls.
The fitting of assemblies involving filing, drilling, tapping, countersinking, bending and sawing, using
either fabricated parts or parts which need to be made in metal, composite, or insulating materials.
Calibration of, set up, functionally test and adjust components, assemblies and systems for optimum
performance using precision instruments, special test equipment and mechanical devices.
Undertake the replacement of major and complex mechanical assemblies and the incorporation of in
depth Modifications.
Administration/Information
Daily use and updating of the Maximo system, ISSOW, Bluebeam and equipment Isolations.
Task planning and organisation.
As a Documents Controller, responsible for quality audits on legally binding engineering documentation,
recording and maintaining life tracking on critical engineering components.
