History
Professor Harald Haas, who belongs from the University of Edinburgh in the United
Kingdom, is commonly seen as the main founder of light fidelity (Li-Fi). He found the
technical term Li- Fi and is main officer of cellphone Communications at the University
of Edinburgh & father of light fidelity.
The common technical mean VLC or visible light communication set any use of the
easily visible light part of the electromagnetic spectrum to transfer important
information. Haas launched this unique technology in the public show TED Global talk
in 2011 and it helped him to start a company to market it globally. Li -Fi, commonly nice

How Li-Fi Works?

Maybe you will live longer than normal human life, medical & medicine facility has failed to
achieve the required development & the all remaining wireless world achieved of the that
technology. In hospital most of the operation room does not allow wi-fi because of radiation
problem inside operation theater and there is always possibility that all lack of harmful spectrum.
On other hand wi-fi is in situated in many hospitals, problem and radiation from mobile and
laptop system can restrict signals from monitoring equipment used during operation.

Talk Global Light fidelity has 10,000 times more than the spectrum of wi-fi technology.

why Li-Fi technology will work effectively inside space craft and aircraft too. People can easily
send their important messages to their loved one. This technology can also impact over the pilot

Wi-Fi technology and more other radiation generated by artificial machineries are not good for

Light Fidelity technique is fully depending on LED bulb for the exchange important data and

LED and bulbs which is generally used and which types of spectrum in which they belong to. It

implementing Li-Fi technology. This method can activate all safe and secure amazing wireless
communication, connection in harmful and dangerous environments such as petrochemical plant,
military & Hospital. Li-Fi also offers high speed, dense & more suitable and balanced network
for company working and busy environments and a going to develop to enable smart buildings in
which bulbs can transfer data, transport, cities and nations too.
In traffic signals, Li-Fi technology can be easily made which will transfer important data for
communication with the LEDs of the cars and case of road accident can be decreased.

Advantages of Li-Fi

Disadvantages of Li-Fi
• Between interconnected rooms separate installation required because Light cannot pass
through walls.
• During installation difficulties in placing transmitter and receiver.
• Initial cost factor because technology is new.
• Some obstacle in data transmission from natural light sources like sun.
• For installation and operation special software is needed which is not available easily in
the market.
• Since light has limited range so data transfer will be directly affected.
• Because more popularity of wi-fi, people will not believe over this technology due to lack
of knowledge about this technology.
