 Manage ongoing optimization of the UMTS/LTE/VoLTE network in order to deliver the best
possible product to our customers and ensure the most robust and stable network
supporting the latest features and devices.
 Manage development and optimization of parameter settings and strategies for high-
traffic venues which has served as the foundation to AT&T National High Traffic
Parameter Settings and best practices.
 Manage numerous extensive DAS systems on the Las Vegas Strip to provide high levels of
voice and data traffic capacity.
 Manage multiple contractor vendor companies for project based services
 Manage COW deployment activities for high visibility special events, such as CES, AT&T
Developers Summit, Laughlin River Run, Rock in Rio, Electric Daisy Carnival, etc.
 Manage cross-functional team of several members in the investigation of performance
issues at various in-building DAS's, uncovering key design issues which now serve as
inputs to the ASG group’s DAS Design & Optimization Standards.
 Manage and coordinate with headquarters for FFA’s, new technology, tools & features
introductions on both UMTS & LTE networks which are converted to standards for the
nation.
 Manage and coordinate the investigation & resolution of uplink noise issues commonly
involving troubleshooting and resolving PIM, external interference, data-fill provisioning,
and construction and equipment issues.
 Provide local engineering support to the AT&T National RAN group as well as other AT&T
markets & teams in preparation for special events, projects or performance investigations.
 Managed design and optimization teams on the initial UMTS HSDPA launch and 2nd
through 5th carrier launches in subsequent years.
 Manage RNC planning for UMTS network for node B and traffic balance
 Manage harvest process for UMTS equipment redeployment
 Ensure market is in compliance with National Gold Standard as a result of daily ALU RAN
Audit
 Manage competitive drive test results from third party vendors such as GWS, Neilsen, and
RootMetrics
 Support several groups both within the company and externally with the testing of new
products (e.g., pre-release handsets, Node-b’s, Femto-cells, Small Cells, etc.)
 Conduct technical workshops to city and county zoning boards to enhance their
knowledge and understanding of the wireless industry from the carrier perspective.
 Mentor entry level engineers and established engineers to develop their technical
expertise as well as their leadership abilities
 Managed the initial design, optimization deployment of the Central Valley, CA from 1998-
1999 as well as the existing Las Vegas Network
