Supervise six staff members in the regulatory oversight of 70 maritime facilities. Responsible for all aspects of staff
member’s professional development and proficiency.
Analyze, review, and audit over 100 facility operations, response and security plans to ensure compliance with
Federal regulations.
Regulate maritime facilities and vessels in the transfer of oil, LNG, and hazardous materials to ensure compliance with
Federal & international regulations and policies.
Inspect over 2,000 hazardous material containers to make sure they are in compliance with 49 Code of Federal
Regulations and International Maritime Dangerous Goods.
Inspect containers for compliance with structural, marking, labeling, placarding and documentation to comply with all
regulations applicable to transportation of Hazardous Materials.
Develop guidelines to inspect and approve explosive load-outs on large U. S. merchant ships transporting ammunition,
military equipment & Class 1.1 explosives.
As Federal On-Scene Coordinator Representative, provide oversight to spill response contractors to include site safety
and proper oil or hazardous spill recovery. Manage Federal funds being utilized during spill recovery.
Coordinate Multi-Agency Strike Force inspection operations which includes detailed inspections of maritime shipping
containers & associated documentation identified by conducting detailed risk analysis.
