CRIMINAL JUSTICE RELATED EXPERIENCE
Senior Project: “Personal Experience and Media Influences on the Perceptions of the Police”
 Conducted a qualitative study, using interviews, on how ones personal experience compares to the influence the
media may have on perceptions of police officers.
 Interviews had two sets of questions; first their personal experience with police then a video of police footage for
television networks was show. After the videos are concluded, participants are interviewed about how the content
influenced their perspective.
 Analyzed data looking for trends and themes in the responses of the 10 participants.

 Assisted in a qualitative research study conducted by two of Criminal Justice professors on generations and their
social media usage in relation to their perceptions on surveillance
 Conducted in depth interviews with participants and later transcribed the collected data
 Gained communication skills by discussing with individuals about their thoughts and feelings on subjects
