3. Research
Strengths:
• Finding existing products.
• Explaining what each section represents on a ‘Front Cover’ and a ‘Double Page Spread’ of a ‘Film
Magazine’.
I reviewed an existing product and at what colours, fonts and images they use for a front and double page
spread of a magazine. I have also looked at what types of winning products they use for a ‘Film Magazine’.
Weaknesses:
• Deciding on what type of winning product I wanted for the ‘Front Cover’ of my product.
• Establishing a topic (Superhero/Sci-Fi/Horror) for my product.
I have reviewed my questionnaires (winning product) and half of the people wanted me to do a ‘Pop Vinyl’
and the other half wanted me to do a ‘DVD’. I couldn’t decide whether to go for a Pop Vinyl or a DVD as my
winning product on the ‘Front Cover’.
4. Planning
Strengths:
Adding 5 images of Colours/Fonts/Images for my ‘Mood board’, as these images will represent the ‘Front
Cover’ and ‘Double Page Spread’ of my product.
I have used specific images/colours/fonts that will best fit my product as to interest the target audience.
Talking about what Colours/Fonts/Images represent for my ‘Film Magazine’.
I have added a mind map stating about what my ‘Final Product’ will be about.
I have added a mind map talking about the: colours, fonts, images, target audience and an additional mind
map discussing which of these project I should go for:
Magazine.
Podcast.
Poster.
Weaknesses:
• Having difficulty in deciding whether I should base my FMP on a Podcast/Poster/Film Magazine.
• Deciding with colours that will best fit the ‘Front Cover’ and ‘Double Page Spread’ of my product.
5. Time Management
Did you manage your time well?
Yes, I have managed my time well by setting goals for my product. These were listed in order
of importance.
When checking my schedule sheet, Planning and Research, it enabled me with this spare time
to amend my product, as necessary.
What would you have done if you had more time to produce your work?
I have learnt from producing this film magazine and would have experimented with being
bolder in its creation. However, I am very pleased with the final product, and the feedback
from the questionnaire is mostly positive with only small alterations required.
6. Technical Qualities- Front Cover
I have added upcoming releases in
different colours, so to make them
stand out on my front cover.

The white text against a black background
contrasts these colours perfectly.
8. Aesthetic Qualities
Front Cover
Strengths
I have created a cover design to
make the readers curious and
want to explore the magazine.
The header is in bold yellow

will make it easy to recognise.
Weaknesses
• There is no mention on the
cover design that the product
will be available digitally.
• No mention of issue or date on
the front cover.

Weaknesses
• Rearranging the description of

10. Audience Appeal- Front Cover
How have you
appealed to your target
audience?
I reviewed my ‘Proposal’
document to make sure that there
was no swearing/no scary images.
In addition to this, I viewed my
mind map which is on my initial
plans document for clarity.
I have referred to the
questionnaire that I did on ‘Survey
Monkey’.
I have followed people’s advice
and opinions and ensured that my
‘Film magazine’ was suitable for
the age 12+.
11. Audience Appeal-
Double Page Spread
How have you appealed to your
target audience?
I have reviewed and examined my ‘Proposal’
document and my mind map which is on my
initial plans document.
I have studied the responses to the
questionnaire that I did on ‘Survey Monkey’. I
have followed people’s opinions and
suggestions and have ensured that my ‘Film
magazine’ was suitable for 12+.
In addition, I have viewed my ‘Research’
document, and the audience profile table.
I have managed to complete everything of that
table such as; Gender, age, topic of my
magazine (psychographic) and the social status
which is Children, Teenager, Adults, and
Families.
13. Feedback 1
What did you like about the product?
The things that I like about the poster is the background
because it looks really good, and I also like the way that the
front cover is spread out.
I also like about that the double page spread is the black and
red background I think that it works really well. I also like the
nice big title.
What improvements could have been made to the product?
The things that could have been improved is the text on the
double page spread, it could have done with being a little bit
bigger other that I think that it is really good.
14. Feedback 2
What did you like about the product?
I like the colours that were used, they are very eye-
catching. The double paged spread has a lot
of information and a few screenshots for the
Batman, which could be interesting to read.
What improvements could have been made
to the product?
You could try changing the font colours a bit, since they can
be quite hard to read due to how they can blend into the
background. You could also try make the images a bit
bigger.
15. Feedback 3
What did you like about the product?
I personally like the double spread because the colour
scheme really fits well with batman, because he's a dark
character. And the front cover is also pretty
good since the space theme is pretty eye catching.
What improvements could have been made to the product?
I think the double spread is honestly good enough, but
the front cover could maybe be improved like making the
text stand out a bit more and changing the red banners a
bit darker.
16. Peer Feedback Summary
What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
I agree with the feedback that I have received as it was positive, advising that the colour
scheme and front cover were eye-catching, and the use of space worked well.
What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
The constructive criticism that I received for this, I have taken on board and would make the
appropriate changes next time.
These were only small changes that would need to be made by way of the text standing out
more, making the red darker, and the images and font a little larger.
17. Peer Feedback Summary
I would include:
Varieties of colours for the banner (Front
Cover).
A darker colour for my product.
A price tag to the ‘Front Cover’ of my
magazine.
Larger text and different fonts for the
‘Double Page Spread’.
