4. Abstract
In an era where e-commerce has been a huge success, Mera
Medicare has come in with an idea of being a forerunner of its
healthcare section in India. Established in July 2014 it has already
seen a nice progress with an efficient management which has led
to its expansion to 4 cities already. It basically sells healthcare
products at a very reasonable rate and has a number of satisfied
customers already.
5. About Mera Medicare
After more than 1 year of its existence, Mera Medicare works
efficiently in the cities of Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon and Bengaluru. It
clearly believes in customer satisfaction and so provides a wide
range of exceptional services. It surely puts up a big challenge in
front of other e-commerce websites by delivering its product
within the time range of 2-12 hours. Other exceptional services
include cheaper medicines, wide range of branded healthcare
products, accepting orders through WhatsApp, etc.
Mera Medicare is soon expected to expand over 10 cities according
to its CEO Mr. Pankaj Gupta. Also the future plans are to expand
Mera Medicare over 25 cities of India.
6. Website
The website link for Mera Medicare is
https://www.meramedicare.com/ .
The website has a pretty normal homepage indicating some of its
products and offers. The website is simple yet elegant and
efficient.
The website depicts a user registration option along with which it
also provides an opportunity to become a merchant for it.
With a properly and regularly operated forum, the interaction of
customers with Mera Medicare is quite wonderful.
The website also has an interesting page called ‘Health facts’. This
page describes medical applications of an everyday item like garlic
which actually leaves you quite amazed regarding how useful can
such a thing be.
Then it has the ‘Contact Us’ and ‘Careers’ page which work pretty
much similar to other websites.
The website doesn’t have any issues for meeting the basic
requirements for an e-commerce website.
7. Conclusion
Overall the website is adequate on the basis of functionality. The
website is quite simple as discussed earlier. Nothing missing in
particular in the website on the basis of its tasks. Although it
doesn’t capture the first-time visitors as it should. It is a work-
oriented design which is fine but it should also be interactive for
the eyes of the users.
8. Recommendations
The website should me somewhat pleasing to the eyes of users.
Just one look at it should be enough for a user to get interested
in it.
The website lacks colours and relevant images. Doing that would
develop a kind of curiosity in the user to check out the entire
website and know more about its purpose.
Also the ‘Health Facts’ page should be updated regularly to keep
the members involved or somewhat keen to visit the website again
and again.
Also the medicines available should be displayed with complete
details regarding the expiry date, effective cost, etc.
Also if possible website should have a list of pharmacy/medical
stores along with their contact details and also the exact address
which is linked to a google map location for ease. This would
really make the website extraordinary and useful.
