successful completion of numerous government facilities ranging from $30 million to $500 million in value.
Additionally, he has overseen many public and private projects of varying types and sizes from pre-construction

PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Munitions Storage Area, U.S. Department of Air Force, Andrews AFB, MD. (Project Executive, 2012-2014).
This is a new munitions storage facility. The contract is valued at $22.5 million and involves total site development
of 31 acres of forest to construct 21 individual structures. Of the 21 structures, 16 are storage facilities for
munitions, one is an administrative building and four are maintenance and support buildings. The storage facilities
are designed for security and blast protection purposes. New MEP and fire/life safety systems were installed to
support the complex. Ron is responsible for project oversight and delivery of the project on-schedule and within
budget.
Eisenhower Executive Office Building Modernization, Phase III
U.S. General Services Administration | Washington, DC | 2010 - 2014
Grunley was the design/build contractor for the modernization of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building (EEOB),
a National Historic Landmark. The building provides office space for approximately 1,500 Federal workers including
the Administrative Offices of the President and Vice President. Phase III involved the renovation of the Pennsylvania
Avenue Wing and is valued at $212 million. Grunley modernized 213,000 square feet and incorporated security
enhancements to match those included in the initial phases of the project. We performed complete tenant fit-out,
MEP upgrades, window replacements and fire life/safety upgrades. The project was designed to obtain LEED Silver
certification. This project was completed while the building remained occupied and fully operational.
Role and Responsibilities: During the EEOB Phase III project, the owner opted to include $80 million in additional
work that was originally slated for a later renovation. The additional work was added to the as change orders.
Ron worked closely with the A/E, Design Manager and Owner to develop pricing and design alternatives. This
process required multiple design and constructability reviews as well as approval by the Owner and tenants.
U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Building 8 Madison Dormitory, Quantico, VA. (Project Executive,
05/2013-2015; Senior Project Manager, 05/2012-04/2013). This is a $20 million renovation of the existing 83,000 SF
Madison dorm under a design-build contract. The seven-story dormitory is located on the FBI National Academy
campus. After the building is abated, the interior will be gutted and fit-out. The building will receive a new energy
efficient mechanical system, fire and life safety upgrades, new switchgear, new windows and a total roof replacement.
During preconstruction, Ron assisted with project design reviews, CPM schedule development, cost model
estimating, value engineering, and constructability reviews. During construction, Ron ensures that the project is
constructed to the specified quality requirements, within the project budget and in compliance with the project
schedule. Ron serves as the primary point of contact for the client.
National Audio Visual Conservation Center
Packard Foundation | Culpeper, VA | 11/2001 – 01/20032010
This $120 million project involved a multi-phased renovation that converted a vacant old treasury building into a
film storage facility. The existing facility was underground. DPR abated the existing waterproofing, re-
waterproofed it and covered it up again. Then, DPR constructed 120 each 6’ x 8’ blast proof containment pods.
The temperature of the facility is maintained at 55 degrees and 35% humidity to store the film properly.
U.S. Secret Service Field Office
U.S. Secret Service | Baltimore, MD | 05/2002 – 12/2003
This $2 million project involved the build-out of a 12,000 SF U.S. Secret Service Field Office in Baltimore.
Role and Responsibilities: As Senior Project Manager, Ron ensured that the project was constructed to the
specified quality requirements, within the project budget, and in compliance with the project schedule.
Bayview Medical Office Building
Cardinal Internal Medicine | Woodbridge, VA | 03/2010-10/2010
This $2.5 million project involved the new construction of a 24,000 SF, two-story medical office building on a two
acre site. The building consists of structural steel, masonry and precast atop an engineered structural stud wall.
The scope of work also included the construction of a new 100-space parking lot and associated hardscaping.

Town Center Medical Office Building
NOVA Ortho & Spine Care | Woodbridge, VA|10/2009-10/2010
This $2.7 million project involved the new construction of a 29,149 SF, three-story medical office building. The
building features structural steel and masonry with exterior curtain wall glass system and integrated horizontal
and vertical exterior sun shades.
Democratic National Committee (DNC) Headquarters
Democratic National Committee | Washington, DC |1/2004 – 1/2006
This $7 million project involved 60,000 SF of new construction and interior and exterior renovations. The existing
3 floor building was vacated, gutted and rebuilt. New footings were installed within the existing structure to
support new structural steel that supported new openings cut into the floors. A new media center was built. The
DNC had also purchased the top two floors of the adjacent building (Democratic National Club), the lower floor of
which was a restaurant and remained in service during construction. A new 3 floor structural connector was
constructed between the two buildings, and gutted and rebuilt the two floors above the restaurant while it
remained in operation. The connector had to be supported by caissons in a very tight area only 15’ from the
railroad tracks. Due to the angle of repose and restrictions with regard to the track, the team had to redesign and
make use of caisson supported grade beams. In addition, the switchgear that supplied the restaurant was
housed on the second floor of a small portion of the building. This was demolished to provide the new connector.
Role and Responsibilities: This CM at Risk contract was accepted with the knowledge that the contractor had to
develop a method for supporting the walls of the building during structural reinforcement while the ground floor
restaurant and offices remained open and fully operational. Ron performed the roles of both Project Executive
and Project Manager. During the execution of the project, he helped to redesign the structural reinforcements for
the building as well as footings required to reinforce caissons supporting an 80’ connector between buildings that
was constructed within 15’ of a railroad track with overhead powerlines. Ron was instrumental in directing the
project and ensuring that it was completed as scheduled despite the challenging pre-existing conditions.
Kaiser Permanente
Kaiser Permante | Manassas, VA | 04/2008 – 12/2008
This $10.5 million project involved the new construction of a medical office building.
Role and Responsibilities: As Senior Project Manager, Ron ensured that the project was constructed to the
specified quality requirements, within the project budget, and in compliance with the project schedule.
National Research Council
National Research Council | Washington, DC | 2000-2001
This $72 million project involved the new construction of a 350,000 SF office building and 6-level below grade
parking garage.
Roles and Responsibilities: As Project Executive, Ron managed a staff of 12 and was responsible for the entire
jobsite administration.
Navy Federal Credit Union Building
Navy Federal Credit Union | Vienna, VA| 02/1994-06/1999
This $60 million, 319,000 SF project consisted of numerous additions and renovations. The scope included a five-
story 246,000 SF addition, a 28,230 SF two-story addition, and the renovation of 45,400 SF warehouse/storage
and office space, and office renovation. One of the additions features a below-ground ice storage system and
approximately 200,000 SF access floor.
Roles and Responsibilities: As Project Manager/Superintendent, Ron was the direct liaison to the client. He
managed all aspects of jobsite administration and solely performed the superintendent responsibilities.
William & Mary Student Dining Center
William & Mary | Williamsburg, VA | 02/2007 – 09/2007
This $17.2 million, 30,000 SF project involved renovations to and the expansion of the existing student dining
center.
Role and Responsibilities: As Senior Project Manager, Ron ensured that the project was constructed to the
specified quality requirements, within the project budget and in compliance with the project schedule.
Coventry Health Care
Coventry Health Care | Harrisburg, PA | 02/2005 – 01/2006
This $2 million project involved renovations to a 120,000 SF office and call center. The scope of work included
demolition of the interior walls and finishes; installation of new fire/life safety, mechanical and electrical systems;
and installation of access flooring. This was a phased turnover project so portions of the building were occupied
during construction.
Role and Responsibilities: As Senior Project Manager, Ron ensured that the project was constructed to the
specified quality requirements, within the project budget and in compliance with the project schedule.
Kaiser Permanente
Kaiser Permanente | Manassas, VA | 02/2008 – 12/2008
This $10.5 million CM at Risk project involved the new construction of a 34,000 SF medical office building and
outpatient care center completed within seven-months. The one-story building includes 30 exam rooms, three
minor procedure rooms and support areas, skilled lab rooms, radiology, mammography, ultrasound areas and a
full-service pharmacy. This project utilized the Green Guide for Health Care to incorporate extensive green
features and approaches. Thermoplastic Olefin, a highly reflective material that maximizes thermal efficiency in
the building, was used for the roofing. BIM was used for coordination of the large amount of self-performed
concrete work, totaling 32,000 SF, and for the extensive under slab plumbing work.
U.S. Pharmacopeia World Headquarters
U.S. Pharmacopeia | Rockville, MD | 6/2005 – 10/2008
This $68 million project involved the renovations to 35,000 SF of existing space, and 325,000 SF of new
construction at the world headquarters building. The facility includes 175,000 SF of lab space. In addition to
individual 50 person conference rooms, DPR built a 175 seat conference center. This project won 12 awards
overall from the Washington Building Congress, Associated Builders & Contractors, the American Institute of
Architect, Associated General Contractors of America, and McGraw-Hill.
Roles and Responsibilities: The critical schedule for this project required significant intervention when extensive
issues with the Owner’s permits arose at the 50% CD phase. Ron worked with Owner to get early packages
approved for earthwork and concrete and to obtain a valid base building permit to allow construction to begin
before the final GMP was performed. His efforts saved 4 months on the overall schedule, which was significant to
the Owner who had personnel installed in other leased buildings. The 4 months savings in scheduled saved the
Owner over $2,200,000 in lease extension fees. He was also instrumental in proposing value engineering
suggestions that resulted in $7,000,000 in additional savings.
National Institute of Health Building 10
Boston Properties | Bethesda, MD | 05/2007 – 08/2008
This $500 million project involved an addition to office and laboratory space on the NIH campus. The new addition
was connected to an existing, occupied building on 1-1/2 sides. Approximately 60% of the new space was lab
space. The challenge was tying-in to the existing building where any vibrations from construction operations had
to be coordinated with the doctors performing MRIs and X-rays. This project is LEED® Certified.
Role and Responsibilities: As Project Executive, Ron was the Owner’s principal-point-of-contact and had overall
authority and responsibility for the contract. He interacted with the Owner, project team and staff for general
oversight of the project. He oversaw all preconstruction and construction phases and supervised the project
manager and superintendent.
Hugh Davis Clinical
Hugh Davis Clinical |Salem, VA| 06/1988 – 05/1990
This $54 million project involved renovations to an existing kitchen while remaining in operation and constructing
a two floor addition above the emergency room while it remained in operation.

training to the project team. Ron ensured that the project was constructed to the specified quality requirements
and in compliance with the schedule.
Schyulkill County Federal Correction Institution

This $54 million project involved the new construction of a 330,000 SF correctional institution.
Roles and Responsibilities: As Senior Project Manager, Ron was responsible for the coordination of all project
information between the field, office, senior management and the customer. He provided leadership, support and
training to the project team. Ron ensured that the project was constructed to the specified quality requirements
and in compliance with the schedule.

This was a design-build project of this existing eight-story structure. This was a $20.2 million renovation of the

Role and Responsibilities: As Project Executive, Ron is the Owner’s principal-point-of-contact and has overall

the project. He oversees all construction phases and supervises the Project Manager and Superintendent.
Anacostia Naval Station
U.S. Department of the Navy | Washington, DC | 02/1997 – 07/1998
This $27 million, 87,000 SF project involved the new construction of high-bay alert and maintenance hangar with
support quarters and indoor military arms firing range facility. It is a HMX-1 facility.
Roles and Responsibilities: As Senior Project Manager, Ron oversaw the project from start-up until it was 95%
complete. By mapping out barge access to the jobsite, he found a way to successfully deliver the 100’ long piles
via the Anacostia River. Ron saved weeks on the schedule by reducing the 4-week roadway schedule. He was
responsible for the coordination of all project information between the field, office, senior management and the
customer; provided leadership, support, and training to the project team; and ensured that the project was
constructed to the specified quality requirements and in compliance with the schedule.
CIA Headquarters
Central Intelligence Agency | Langley, VA | 10/1985 – 05/1986
This $113 million project involved the new construction of a 1,100,000 SF office and computer facility.
Roles and Responsibilities: As Senior Project Manager, Ron was responsible for the coordination of all project
information between the field, office, senior management and the customer; provided leadership, support, and
training to the project team; and ensured that the project was constructed to the specified quality requirements
and in compliance with the schedule.
Washington Navy Yard (Building 111)
U.S. Department of the Navy | Washington, DC | 1986 – 1988
This $16 million project involved the new construction of a 170,000 SF, five-story parking structure, and
renovations to Building 111 which was being used as a motor pool. The building had 2’ thick walls which were
maintained during construction. We gutted a few interior block walls and removed the floor slab. The new
structural design was based upon the existence of capping old wooden piers which existed approximately 20’
below the existing slab, a combination of auger driven pylons and supporting the interior steel structure by placing
footings atop of these.
Roles and Responsibilities: As an Office Engineer/Assistant Superintendent, Ron assisted the Superintendent as
required. He helped coordinate work activities.
Library of Congress National Audio Visual Conservation Center
Packard Humanities Institute | Culpeper,VA | 11/2001 – 10/2002
This $120 million project included a major two-phase renovation and addition to house a motion picture,
broadcasting and recorded sound facility in four parts: (1) the complete interior demolition and renovation of the
existing 135,000 SF, three-story building to store all media except nitrate; (2) a Central Plant Building, consisting
of a new building constructed at grade behind the Collections Building; (3) a Conservation Building, which
included construction of a 185,000 SF building comprised of public space, office, audio-visual and electronic labs,
photographic wet labs and shipping/receiving facilities; and (4) Nitrate Film Storage Vaults, which are in two
connected buildings each with 60 individual four-hour rated film vaults, together with associated equipment
building and equipment mezzanine, totaling about 47,000 SF. The project was completed in 18 months, and won
multiple awards.
Arlington National Cemetery and Visitors Center
Arlington National Cemetery | Arlington, VA | 1998
This $11 million project involved the construction of a 200,000 SF multi-level parking deck facility at Arlington
National Cemetery. This project also involved moving statues in a populated street and completing the
hardscaping and landscaping around an entrance which had to be maintained accessible at all times.
Roles and Responsibilities: As Senior Project Manager, Ron was responsible for the coordination of all project
information between the field, office, senior management and the customer; provided leadership, support, and
training to the project team; and ensured that the project was constructed to the specified quality requirements
and in compliance with the schedule.
Internet Services Exchange Center
Microsoft Fiber Networks |Reston, VA| 03/1998 – 04/1999
This $125 million project involved the new construction of a 265,000 SF internet services exchange center. N2
redundancy with precast walls and floors. Twelve generators were installed on the roof; eight of them were pillar
units with rotary power units. The project was completed in 12 months.

(Project Executive, 2012-2014). This is a new munitions storage facility. The contract is valued at $22.5 million and involves total site development of 31 acres of forest to construct 21 individual structures. Of the 21 structures, 16 are storage facilities for munitions, one is an administrative building and four are maintenance and support buildings. The storage facilities are designed for security and blast protection purposes. New MEP and fire/life safety systems were installed to support the complex. Ron is responsible for project oversight and delivery of the project on-schedule and within budget. Eisenhower Executive Office Building Modernization, Phase III U.S. General Services Administration | Washington, DC | 2010 - 2014 Grunley was the design/build contractor for the modernization of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building (EEOB), a National Historic Landmark. The building provides office space for approximately 1,500 Federal workers including the Administrative Offices of the President and Vice President. Phase III involved the renovation of the Pennsylvania Avenue Wing and is valued at $212 million. Grunley modernized 213,000 square feet and incorporated security enhancements to match those included in the initial phases of the project. We performed complete tenant fit-out, MEP upgrades, window replacements and fire life/safety upgrades. The project was designed to obtain LEED Silver certification. This project was completed while the building remained occupied and fully operational. Role and Responsibilities: During the EEOB Phase III project, the owner opted to include $80 million in additional work that was originally slated for a later renovation. The additional work was added to the as change orders. Ron worked closely with the A/E, Design Manager and Owner to develop pricing and design alternatives. This process required multiple design and constructability reviews as well as approval by the Owner and tenants. U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Building 8 Madison Dormitory, Quantico, VA. (Project Executive, 05/2013-2015; Senior Project Manager, 05/2012-04/2013). This is a $20 million renovation of the existing 83,000 SF Madison dorm under a design-build contract. The seven-story dormitory is located on the FBI National Academy campus. After the building is abated, the interior will be gutted and fit-out. The building will receive a new energy efficient mechanical system, fire and life safety upgrades, new switchgear, new windows and a total roof replacement. During preconstruction, Ron assisted with project design reviews, CPM schedule development, cost model estimating, value engineering, and constructability reviews. During construction, Ron ensures that the project is constructed to the specified quality requirements, within the project budget and in compliance with the project schedule. Ron serves as the primary point of contact for the client.

National Audio Visual Conservation Center Packard Foundation | Culpeper, VA | 11/2001 – 01/20032010 This $120 million project involved a multi-phased renovation that converted a vacant old treasury building into a film storage facility. The existing facility was underground. DPR abated the existing waterproofing, re- waterproofed it and covered it up again. Then, DPR constructed 120 each 6’ x 8’ blast proof containment pods. The temperature of the facility is maintained at 55 degrees and 35% humidity to store the film properly. U.S. Secret Service Field Office U.S. Secret Service | Baltimore, MD | 05/2002 – 12/2003 This $2 million project involved the build-out of a 12,000 SF U.S. Secret Service Field Office in Baltimore. Role and Responsibilities: As Senior Project Manager, Ron ensured that the project was constructed to the specified quality requirements, within the project budget, and in compliance with the project schedule. Bayview Medical Office Building Cardinal Internal Medicine | Woodbridge, VA | 03/2010-10/2010 This $2.5 million project involved the new construction of a 24,000 SF, two-story medical office building on a two acre site. The building consists of structural steel, masonry and precast atop an engineered structural stud wall. The scope of work also included the construction of a new 100-space parking lot and associated hardscaping. . Town Center Medical Office Building NOVA Ortho & Spine Care | Woodbridge, VA|10/2009-10/2010 This $2.7 million project involved the new construction of a 29,149 SF, three-story medical office building. The building features structural steel and masonry with exterior curtain wall glass system and integrated horizontal and vertical exterior sun shades. Democratic National Committee (DNC) Headquarters Democratic National Committee | Washington, DC |1/2004 – 1/2006 This $7 million project involved 60,000 SF of new construction and interior and exterior renovations. The existing 3 floor building was vacated, gutted and rebuilt. New footings were installed within the existing structure to support new structural steel that supported new openings cut into the floors. A new media center was built. The DNC had also purchased the top two floors of the adjacent building (Democratic National Club), the lower floor of which was a restaurant and remained in service during construction. A new 3 floor structural connector was constructed between the two buildings, and gutted and rebuilt the two floors above the restaurant while it remained in operation. The connector had to be supported by caissons in a very tight area only 15’ from the railroad tracks. Due to the angle of repose and restrictions with regard to the track, the team had to redesign and make use of caisson supported grade beams. In addition, the switchgear that supplied the restaurant was housed on the second floor of a small portion of the building. This was demolished to provide the new connector. Role and Responsibilities: This CM at Risk contract was accepted with the knowledge that the contractor had to develop a method for supporting the walls of the building during structural reinforcement while the ground floor restaurant and offices remained open and fully operational. Ron performed the roles of both Project Executive and Project Manager. During the execution of the project, he helped to redesign the structural reinforcements for the building as well as footings required to reinforce caissons supporting an 80’ connector between buildings that was constructed within 15’ of a railroad track with overhead powerlines. Ron was instrumental in directing the project and ensuring that it was completed as scheduled despite the challenging pre-existing conditions. Kaiser Permanente Kaiser Permante | Manassas, VA | 04/2008 – 12/2008 This $10.5 million project involved the new construction of a medical office building. Role and Responsibilities: As Senior Project Manager, Ron ensured that the project was constructed to the specified quality requirements, within the project budget, and in compliance with the project schedule.   • 4. This $72 million project involved the new construction of a 350,000 SF office building and 6-level below grade parking garage. Roles and Responsibilities: As Project Executive, Ron managed a staff of 12 and was responsible for the entire jobsite administration. Navy Federal Credit Union Building Navy Federal Credit Union | Vienna, VA| 02/1994-06/1999 This $60 million, 319,000 SF project consisted of numerous additions and renovations. The scope included a five- story 246,000 SF addition, a 28,230 SF two-story addition, and the renovation of 45,400 SF warehouse/storage and office space, and office renovation. One of the additions features a below-ground ice storage system and approximately 200,000 SF access floor. Roles and Responsibilities: As Project Manager/Superintendent, Ron was the direct liaison to the client. He managed all aspects of jobsite administration and solely performed the superintendent responsibilities. William & Mary Student Dining Center William & Mary | Williamsburg, VA | 02/2007 – 09/2007 This $17.2 million, 30,000 SF project involved renovations to and the expansion of the existing student dining center. Role and Responsibilities: As Senior Project Manager, Ron ensured that the project was constructed to the specified quality requirements, within the project budget and in compliance with the project schedule. Coventry Health Care Coventry Health Care | Harrisburg, PA | 02/2005 – 01/2006 This $2 million project involved renovations to a 120,000 SF office and call center. The scope of work included demolition of the interior walls and finishes; installation of new fire/life safety, mechanical and electrical systems; and installation of access flooring. This was a phased turnover project so portions of the building were occupied during construction. Role and Responsibilities: As Senior Project Manager, Ron ensured that the project was constructed to the specified quality requirements, within the project budget and in compliance with the project schedule. Kaiser Permanente Kaiser Permanente | Manassas, VA | 02/2008 – 12/2008 This $10.5 million CM at Risk project involved the new construction of a 34,000 SF medical office building and outpatient care center completed within seven-months. The one-story building includes 30 exam rooms, three minor procedure rooms and support areas, skilled lab rooms, radiology, mammography, ultrasound areas and a full-service pharmacy. This project utilized the Green Guide for Health Care to incorporate extensive green features and approaches. Thermoplastic Olefin, a highly reflective material that maximizes thermal efficiency in the building, was used for the roofing. BIM was used for coordination of the large amount of self-performed concrete work, totaling 32,000 SF, and for the extensive under slab plumbing work. U.S. Pharmacopeia World Headquarters U.S. Pharmacopeia | Rockville, MD | 6/2005 – 10/2008 This $68 million project involved the renovations to 35,000 SF of existing space, and 325,000 SF of new construction at the world headquarters building. The facility includes 175,000 SF of lab space. In addition to individual 50 person conference rooms, DPR built a 175 seat conference center. This project won 12 awards overall from the Washington Building Congress, Associated Builders & Contractors, the American Institute of Architect, Associated General Contractors of America, and McGraw-Hill. Roles and Responsibilities: The critical schedule for this project required significant intervention when extensive issues with the Owner’s permits arose at the 50% CD phase. Ron worked with Owner to get early packages approved for earthwork and concrete and to obtain a valid base building permit to allow construction to begin before the final GMP was performed. His efforts saved 4 months on the overall schedule, which was significant to the Owner who had personnel installed in other leased buildings. The 4 months savings in scheduled saved the
  • 5. Owner over $2,200,000 in lease extension fees. He was also instrumental in proposing value engineering suggestions that resulted in $7,000,000 in additional savings. National Institute of Health Building 10 Boston Properties | Bethesda, MD | 05/2007 – 08/2008 This $500 million project involved an addition to office and laboratory space on the NIH campus. The new addition was connected to an existing, occupied building on 1-1/2 sides. Approximately 60% of the new space was lab space. The challenge was tying-in to the existing building where any vibrations from construction operations had to be coordinated with the doctors performing MRIs and X-rays. This project is LEED® Certified. Role and Responsibilities: As Project Executive, Ron was the Owner’s principal-point-of-contact and had overall authority and responsibility for the contract. He interacted with the Owner, project team and staff for general oversight of the project. He oversaw all preconstruction and construction phases and supervised the project manager and superintendent. Hugh Davis Clinical Hugh Davis Clinical |Salem, VA| 06/1988 – 05/1990 This $54 million project involved renovations to an existing kitchen while remaining in operation and constructing a two floor addition above the emergency room while it remained in operation. Roles and Responsibilities: As Senior Project Manager, Ron was responsible for the coordination of all project information between the field, office, senior management and the customer. He provided leadership, support and training to the project team. Ron ensured that the project was constructed to the specified quality requirements and in compliance with the schedule. Schyulkill County Federal Correction Institution Federal Correctional Institute | Minersville, PA | This $54 million project involved the new construction of a 330,000 SF correctional institution. Roles and Responsibilities: As Senior Project Manager, Ron was responsible for the coordination of all project information between the field, office, senior management and the customer. He provided leadership, support and training to the project team. Ron ensured that the project was constructed to the specified quality requirements and in compliance with the schedule. Role and Responsibilities: As Project Executive, Ron is the Owner’s principal-point-of-contact and has overall authority and responsibility for the contract. He interacts with the Owner and project team for general oversight of the project. He oversees all construction phases and supervises the Project Manager and Superintendent.

Anacostia Naval Station U.S. Department of the Navy | Washington, DC | 02/1997 – 07/1998 This $27 million, 87,000 SF project involved the new construction of high-bay alert and maintenance hangar with support quarters and indoor military arms firing range facility. It is a HMX-1 facility. Roles and Responsibilities: As Senior Project Manager, Ron oversaw the project from start-up until it was 95% complete. By mapping out barge access to the jobsite, he found a way to successfully deliver the 100’ long piles via the Anacostia River. Ron saved weeks on the schedule by reducing the 4-week roadway schedule. He was responsible for the coordination of all project information between the field, office, senior management and the customer; provided leadership, support, and training to the project team; and ensured that the project was constructed to the specified quality requirements and in compliance with the schedule. CIA Headquarters Central Intelligence Agency | Langley, VA | 10/1985 – 05/1986 This $113 million project involved the new construction of a 1,100,000 SF office and computer facility. Roles and Responsibilities: As Senior Project Manager, Ron was responsible for the coordination of all project information between the field, office, senior management and the customer; provided leadership, support, and training to the project team; and ensured that the project was constructed to the specified quality requirements and in compliance with the schedule. Washington Navy Yard (Building 111) U.S. Department of the Navy | Washington, DC | 1986 – 1988 This $16 million project involved the new construction of a 170,000 SF, five-story parking structure, and renovations to Building 111 which was being used as a motor pool. The building had 2’ thick walls which were maintained during construction. We gutted a few interior block walls and removed the floor slab. The new structural design was based upon the existence of capping old wooden piers which existed approximately 20’ below the existing slab, a combination of auger driven pylons and supporting the interior steel structure by placing footings atop of these. Roles and Responsibilities: As an Office Engineer/Assistant Superintendent, Ron assisted the Superintendent as required. He helped coordinate work activities. Library of Congress National Audio Visual Conservation Center Packard Humanities Institute | Culpeper,VA | 11/2001 – 10/2002 This $120 million project included a major two-phase renovation and addition to house a motion picture, broadcasting and recorded sound facility in four parts: (1) the complete interior demolition and renovation of the existing 135,000 SF, three-story building to store all media except nitrate; (2) a Central Plant Building, consisting of a new building constructed at grade behind the Collections Building; (3) a Conservation Building, which included construction of a 185,000 SF building comprised of public space, office, audio-visual and electronic labs, photographic wet labs and shipping/receiving facilities; and (4) Nitrate Film Storage Vaults, which are in two connected buildings each with 60 individual four-hour rated film vaults, together with associated equipment building and equipment mezzanine, totaling about 47,000 SF. The project was completed in 18 months, and won multiple awards. Arlington National Cemetery and Visitors Center Arlington National Cemetery | Arlington, VA | 1998 This $11 million project involved the construction of a 200,000 SF multi-level parking deck facility at Arlington National Cemetery. This project also involved moving statues in a populated street and completing the hardscaping and landscaping around an entrance which had to be maintained accessible at all times. Roles and Responsibilities: As Senior Project Manager, Ron was responsible for the coordination of all project information between the field, office, senior management and the customer; provided leadership, support, and training to the project team; and ensured that the project was constructed to the specified quality requirements and in compliance with the schedule. Internet Services Exchange Center Microsoft Fiber Networks |Reston, VA| 03/1998 – 04/1999 This $125 million project involved the new construction of a 265,000 SF internet services exchange center. N2 redundancy with precast walls and floors. Twelve generators were installed on the roof; eight of them were pillar units with rotary power units. The project was completed in 12 months.
