- 3. 3 Ronald and Michel did their utmost in digesting 4 days of Teched knowledge, staying awake through some presentations and making notes of the presentations they found worth taking back to all of you. The following slides contain interpretations of the stuff said at TechEd and do not necessarily represent the way it was intended by SAP. Actually SAP probably was surprised on some occasions what the colleagues actually said about Data Warehouse Cloud, SAC, and Webi (;-). Please don’t blame us if our interpretations might be off track as, in the end, we’re only human (some more than others). Ronald and Michel assume no responsibility for errors or ommisions in this document, not even if such damages were caused by SAP intentionally or appear to be grossly negligent.

- 44. 44 So remember 1. Cloud first! Even though innovating in the cloud is much easier for a software vendor, reality is customers are on prem… 2. On premise is not dead! And therefore, BOBJ gets a second life, BW/4HANA stays the on prem data warehouse of choice 3. In case 1 and 2 do not work for you: Hybrid is the new on premise! But… hybrid scenario’s are everywhere. It’s the way to get new customers into the cloud. Expect a lot of innovations in that space! DAT107 DAT107 was right all along…

- The return of on premise. We praten vaak over hybrid scenarios. SAP wil wel afscheid nemen van on prem, maar dat willen de klanten niet! Do they really?
- Interoperablity = BACK! Misschien niet zo handig, veel klanten vinden het word niet zo tof na het hele discovery designer debacle Kern: on prem BOBJ gebruikers moeten naar SAC
- Hoe? Integratie met Universes en WEBI Wow! Geen replicatie voor al die op Universe gebaseerde bronnen! Weer een hybrid case…
- People, is this Lumira Designer of Discovery? No, that’s Webi! De fransen blijven knokken tegen SAC
