VIP VILLAGE SIRTE, LIBYA (2009)
This high-standard hotel complex, composed
of 99 identical villas, a clubhouse and a royal
suite, mainly accomodates foreign dignitaries,
on the occasion of official ceremonies or
events. In march 2010, the complex catered
for the Summit of the Arab Ligue. It will soon
host the African heads of State during the
Summit of the OAU.
CUSTOMER’S NEED
Since the village is meant to receive heads of State, the scope
statements were very strict as far as quality was concerned;
coolness and comfort were the watchwords. Moreover, the
material had to be available quickly; reactivity was thus expected
from Airwell.

Airwell complied with the client's demands, by delivering its
products 3 months after the order. The company also provided
technical advice on the use of its products. Every villa was
equipped with a RCW2 remote control that manages its indoor
units. A BMS supervising station was installed to control the villas
from a distance.

HOTEL-CASINO COMPLEX CHAVES, PORTUGAL (2007-2008)
Solverde is a company that owns 4 casinos
in Portugal. Chaves 5* hotel is located in the
north of the country and aims at attracting
Spanish customers. It consists of 78 rooms,
indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a
soccer field, a squash court and many other
installations that make one's stay as
comfortable as possible.
CUSTOMER’S NEED
The customer wanted one supplier to provide him the whole range of products he needed to ventilate and air-
condition the different rooms of the complex (powerful chillers, air handling units & fancoils); in particular, the air
handling sytem had to be very easily adjustable: for instance, places like swimming-pools or relaxation rooms
needed an air flow higher than that of the bedrooms. Climavesper & Wesper finally got the contract.

The solution consists in a 4 pipe installation with centralized production based on
4 cooling only chillers, including two with 50% heat recovery, and fancoil distribution
do the hotel rooms. The rest of the complex was treated with air handling units.

hotel, the indoors units provided had to be quite

Composed of 3 hospitals, the Teaching
Hospital Complex of Marrakesh serves
Marrakesh Tensift Al Haouz, a 3.5 million
inhabitants area. This hospital complex is
equipped with the most modern medical
installations and is often held up as an
example for the expertise of its administrators
and its medical staff, like for the successfull
corneal transplant of August 2009.
CUSTOMER’S NEED
The Teaching Hospital Complex had to be equipped
with a powerful system that would be able to resist to
the country's particular climatic conditions. Thus, for
the patients' comfort but also for the disinfection of the
premises, the said system had to maintain a room
temperature of about 20°C, even when the outside
temperature was very high.

The resistant SLS chillers proposed by Wesper
matched the customer's demand, notably thanks to
their being insulated by a 19 mm thick closed cell foam
material that enables them to face all types of climatic

The Léonard de Vinci Private Hospital (or
Health Centre) is among the biggest private
hospitals in France. Located at less than
10 minutes away from the city centre of

equipment and gives all the usual medical
treatments; its 2

are its maternity

palliative care unit.

The private hospital needed its HVAC system to be
placed so that it could garanty an optimum quality and
cleanness of the air, which are paramount to the
sanitization of the rooms and the surgical units.
Patients' comfort was also crucial; therefore, the
equipment had to enable the users to regulate
individually the room temperatures.

The solution Wesper proposed was an association of a
powerful and an efficient equipement, as far as energy
and sanitation are concerned. The thermal regulation

Created after World War II, the University of
Pardubice, in Czech Republic, today counts
more than 10,000 students. It prepares for
degrees in various subjects, like economics,
computer technology, medecine or even
philosophy, and it offers more than
160 specialisations.
CUSTOMER’S NEED
The building's HVAC sytem had become obsolete, it
had to be replaced. Priority was given to compacity,
discretion and modularity: indeed, the diversity of the
rooms of the building (lecture halls, offices, labs,
libraries…) implied that the units installed enable to
treat those places in a differentiated way.
‘S SOLUTION
The HVAC system was totally corrected, with, in
particular, the installation of 2 SWR & CWP chillers.
Indeed, using plate exchangers confers the chillers an
unequalled compacity and a reduced occupation of the
floor area. The indoor units are ducted or ceiling
fancoils; those models have a high longevity and are
not bulky.

The University of Paris-Est Créteil Val de Marne is
formed of 12 faculties and institutes, split among
3 departements of the region Ile de France. Its
head offices are in Créteil, in a building that is
similar to the one that houses the council of the
department Val-de-Marne. The university
porposes courses in
subjects like medecine,
economics,
languages,... More the
27,600 students were
registered in the
university in 2008.
CUSTOMER’S NEED
The building that houses the university in Créteil was built in the
1970's, and its HVAC system also dated back from this time. This
centralized system (2 condensing units connected to 2 chillers
and one air handling unit) provided a fixed rate of fresh air, with
no distinction between offices and lecture hall, which entailed a
lack of comfort among the occupying persons. The system's lack
of reactivity and high energy cost made a refurbishement crucial.
& ‘S SOLUTION
Two different systems were installed. On one hand, for the air
treatment of the offices and the lecture halls, Wesper proposed
2 reversible chillers that produce both hot and chilled water and
would be connected to compact "100% fresh air" air handling
units. On the other hand, as far as comfort is concerned,
12 Airwell Flow Logic groups (VRF) that supply more than
100 ducted units were installed; in order to adapt to the
intermittent occupation of the classrooms, the air flow is there
triggered by a presence sensor. Moreover, fouled air calories are
reclaimed and restored in the liquid chilling packages. The whole
installation generated a 50% energy savings compared with the
previous HVAC system.

CUSTOMER’S NEED
The business school corrected its HVAC system, for
the previous one was obsolete. An emphasis was put
on the power of the outdoor units installed (since
they would serve the whole school) and the indoor
units' minimum bulkiness (they had to fit with the
layout the architect had planned). Furthermore, in
order to comply with the HQE (Haute Qualité
Environnementale - High Environmental Quality)
goals, the equipment provided had to consume as
little energy as possible.
‘S SOLUTION
Wesper proposed the EDHEC efficient VLH & AQTH
chillers, whose EER are greater than 2.6. PR air
handling units completed this system, by ensuring
the air treatment. Eventually, all the indoor units
proposed were ducted ones or cassettes, and they
naturally fitted into the layout of the place.

Because of its wide space, the hospital needed a
powerful thermic regulation system; yet, since there
were high constraints of air hygiene, the said system
also had to ensure an efficient filtering of the micro-
particules that might contaminate the premises.

Thanks to the simulations lead on the WinClim
selection software, Wesper proposed a combination
of Premi@ir & @irtwin air handling units for this
application. The purification efficiency of the former
(which are equipped with high effiency filters,
accordingly with the EN 1822 ranking) associated
with the latter's flexibility of the air treatment

Created in 1923, the 24 Hours of Le Mans is a famous car endurance race that takes place
in June and yearly brings together more than 230,000 spectators. The ciruit is 13,629 km
long and is among the longest ones in the world; this semi-permanent race course is used
about 10 days a year for the qualifying rounds and then, for the competition.
CUSTOMER’S NEED
Various types of rooms of the circuit called for an HVAC equipment: offices, stands, press-rooms… The supplier
had to be able to proposed varied solutions, which would be adapted to the different types of activities practiced
in the venue. In particular, the system had to provide simultaneous heating and cooling.

the MHSC needed both climatisatin and heating for the

expensive. Air treatment also had to be as good as
possible, for professional soccer players who occupy
the premises to enjoy a pleasant atmosphere for their
practices and their games.

AIR FRANCE 2G TERMINAL ROISSY, FRANCE (2008)
Completed in 2008, this terminal deals with the short and medium haul flights operated by
Air France and its subsidiaries in Europe; it can accomodate until 3 million passengers a year
and receive simultaneously 26 planes of less than 100 seats. Furthermore, it is accessible to
the disabled as well as the visually impaired and the hard-of-hearing. It also has a car park
and a shopping galery. The buildings' ecological impact is minimized and the site abides by
the HQE goals.
CUSTOMER’S NEED
Priority was given to the installation of sober, energy
efficient and powerful products. Indeed, the number of
persons that transit there and the specific activity
practiced implied that the 2G terminal would be
equipped with easy-to-regulate units, in particular in
the rooms that house the operational team of the
terminal.

Equipping the offices of terminal with VRF units
was the ideal solution. 14 Airwell Flow Logic
groups were installed. The 220 indoor units were

The A86 highway surrounds the French capital and connects it to its suburbs. It is one of
the most taken roads of the region of Paris. Various tunnels were built there, they shelter the

Wesper's mission was to cover the whole A86 network.
The main challenge for the operational team and their
collaborators was to adapt the products to the big
distance between outdoor and indoor units and to the
technical premises' specific needs in sensible cooling

Sirte is a Libyan city located on the
méditerranean coast, about 550 km away
from Tripoli. It is served by the international
airport of Al-Gardabiya, which often is

paramount role in Libyan diplomacy; for
instance, it hosts losts of summits and
conferences (ex: the proclamation of the

Aubervilliers. This mall will house famous
brands' outlets as well as small stores.
The complex was designed by Antoine
Grumbach, who was inspired by nature

building's green design, the HVAC equipment had to
guarantee a minimum energy consumption, with, for instance,
an optimized thermal insulation for the products and low
pressure drop in the coils.

Wesper rooftops are powerful and solid, they perfectly match
the "greenness" of the shopping hall: they use the R410A

The client turned to Climavesper, our commercial partner in Portugal, so
that all the HVAC equipements he needed would be provided by an only
supplier. The priorities were: a big capacity of chilled water production (on
the whole, more than 9,000 kW), a high efficiency of energy recovery and
the possibility to supply air handling units of all sizes.
‘S SOLUTION
This is the solution proposed by Wesper and Climavesper:
For MAR Shopping: centralized production thanks to 5 chillers, air
distribution through 19 air handling units that are, for the most, equipped
with plate heat exchangers.
For Jumbo Store: centralized hot & chilled water production and air
distribution through 8 air handling units.

For MAR Shopping: 5 SLS 7804 chillers, 19 Premi@air (1 x PR 40, 1 x PR

Airwell' mission was to cooling the
shops premises, that's to say equip
the stores located in shopping centre with an efficient HVAC system.
‘S SOLUTION
For cooling of such big premises,two of Airwell's biggest chillers,
working on master/slave principle, were proposed.

MATMUT FRANCE (SINCE 2005)
CUSTOMER’S NEED
This application was about equipping in HVAC systems
the commercial agencies of the French insurance
company Matmut. The units had to be discreet,
compact and user-friendly. Moreover, the installation
works had to be quick so that the business of the
agencies would not be disrupted.
‘S SOLUTION
Airwell proposed the best of its VRF range. NKFL &
NK6FL cassettes are compact, they fit into every type of
suspended ceiling and they are easy to install, which
preserve the quietness of the premises.The units'
stopping during nights and weekends is managed by
the NWTM-FLR timer.

France). Since it is a symbol of

COCA-COLA BOTTLING FACTORY SOFIA, BULGARIA (2007)
Coca-Cola Hellenic Group is one the biggest soft drink bottler
in Europe. Its Bulgarian subsidiary supplies more than
7,5 million consumers; the Sofia plant is among the
3 factories that ply this market. The company has been
established in Bulgaria since 1992 and employs more than
1,300 persons.
CUSTOMER’S NEED
In ordre to preserve the quality of
the bottled product and its
components, the customer looked
for a powerful cooling only air-
conditioning system.
‘S SOLUTION
Wesper provided VLS chillers with
high cooling capacity. Equipped
with the R410A refrigerant and
4 SCROLL compressors, they
guarantee to maintain an ideal
temperature in the factory.

DATANEUM BUDAPEST, HUNGARY (2008)
Dataneum is a server park. The former name
of the site was Athaneum, printing machines
were installed there. The site's energy
consumption and air-conditioning was
designed and rebuilt according to the most
up-to-date TIER 3 grade. Some system
elements even have TIER 4 grade.
CUSTOMER’S NEED
Offices and other various rooms called for air-
conditioning. The server rooms' indoor temperature
must be kept +22°C (+/- 2°C) with 40-60% relative air
humidity. Sufficient reserved capacity was requested
for emergency reasons.
‘S SOLUTION
A full range of air-conditioning systems was installed
by CLH Refrigeration & air conditioning Ltd. In
particular, high-cooling-capacity chillers were
commissioned. The indoor temperature can be
precisely regulated thanks to the various indoor units
installed (split units and chilled water cassettes).

ENGINEERING PLANT OSTROJ A.S. OPAVA, CZECH REPUBLIC (2008)
CUSTOMER’S NEED
Ostroj, a mining equipment manufacturer, wanted its
factory to be equipped with a reliable air-conditioning
system that would be easy to regulate depending on
the room.
‘S SOLUTION
The premises were equipped with 3 Aqu@logic chillers
with water tanks. Theses products work with the self-
adaptative ITCL regulation that permanently adapts the
machine's operating parameters to the variations in the
building's internal thermal load.

TURBOMECA
MANTES-LA-JOLIE, FRANCE (2008)
CUSTOMER’S NEED
Turbomeca, French manufacturer of gas turbine
turboshaft engines for helicopters, opens a new
factory in Mantes-la-Jolie. Since the plant is, among
other thingns, meant to enhance the company's
activities, it had to be equipped with powerful units
that would do with an outdoor installation, so that
indoor room is entirely dedicated to work spaces.
Moreover, to comply with the HQE goals, the air-
conditioning system shall associate performance
and energy efficiency.
‘S SOLUTION
Wesper proposer RoofTech rooftops, which are
specially designed for industrial applications. Using
the R410A refrigerant, they have a high energy
efficiency ratio; their cabinet (made of aluminium
casing) is waterproof, ensures a high longevity and
reduces energy loss.

DOHA, QATAR (2007)
CUSTOMER’S NEED
Because of the activity practiced (manufacturing of
resins and plastic material) and the substances used
(ethylene, mainly), the temperature of the site had to
be stightly controlled and regulated.
‘S SOLUTION
Wesper CLC & VLC chillers were customized to
answer precisely to the client's demand.
They can operate in a large range of temperature,
which enables the users to regulate the indoor
temparatures very precisely depending on the
activities practiced in the different rooms of the
Q-Chem II comlpex.

LE CASTOR & MOZART TOWER
LES ULIS & ISSY-LES-MOULINEAUX, FRANCE (2009-2010)
There are 2 different projects: the building of the new
headquarters of Bouygues Batiment Ile de France
Construction Privée (Le Castor Building) and the
equipment of the Mozart Tower (Tour Mozart), that is
currently being built and will house the headquarters of
Bouygues Telecom.
"Le Castor" is a service building whose floor area
exceeds 10,000 m² is located in the town of Les Ulis.
The custome aims at the building's getting the highest
BBC 2005 energy qualification. This way, Le Castor will
be the first French over-10,000 m² building to get this
label.
Located near the heliport of Paris, the Mozart Tower is in
the core of the business district Seine Ouest. With a
height of 100m, the tower is HQE certified: its energy
consumption will be 50% lower than that of "traditional"
office buildings.
CUSTOMER’S NEED
Le Castor: Wesper's mission is to design
autonomous thermodynamic units that
willbe compatible with a power line
regulation system and an induction
variable-speed air diffusion system.
Those units are to cover all the thermal
needs of the premises (heating without
additional electrical heater, free cooling,
air-conditioning, heat recovery in
heating & cooling mode, filtration,
sanitary fresh air).
Mozart Tower: several requirements in
terms of ventilation and energy savings
were asked by the real estate operator
in charge of the supervision of the
operations. For instance, it wanted a
double flow ventilation system with cold
air control to be installed. Moreover, the
temperature regulation had to be
controlled by a centralized system.
Thus, the ventilation and ir handling had
to be compatible with the software used
for the tower control.
OFFICE BUILDINGS
‘S SOLUTION
Le Castor: Wesper designed 9
reversible rooftops. They will all be
equipped with double-flow variable-
spedd air distribution with enthalpic
thermal wheel. The digital compressors
will ensure a variable air temperature.
The product's software was customized so as to optimize energy
savings (real-time synergy).
Mozart Tower: Several Premi@ir air handling units, which are
compatible with the HQE requirements, were installed in the building.
A highly efficient electric motor equipped with an air recycling system
was also provided.

FRANCE TÉLÉVISION PARIS, FRANCE (2008-2009)
France Télévision, the 1st French audivisual
group, is exclusively State-held; it is the first
employers of journalists of the country. Its
headquarter is located in the 15ème
arrondissement of Paris, in a building that
was designed by Jean-Paul Viguier. The
offices spread over 57,000 m² and the
builfing reaches a height of 35m.
CUSTOMER’S NEED
Besides the comfort necessary for the staff to work in a
environment that facilitates creativity,the maintaining of
temperature and low humidity within the TV station are
crucial for the nonstop broadcasting of the programs.
‘S SOLUTION
Wesper selected a range of indoor & outdoor units that
are adapted to the building's large area. Several SLS
chillers were installed, in order to ensure an optimized air
treatment; they were associated with Premi@ir air
handling units, which guarantee the best indoor
temperature regulation possible. Many VHF & Aqu@fan
fancoils were added, in cohesion with the sober design
of the offices.

CNIT LA DÉFENSE, FRANCE (2008)
The CNIT, or Centre des Nouvelles Industries
et Technologies - Centre for New Industries
& technologies, was the 1st building erected
in the businness district of La Défense
(1958). It was planned by Robert Camelot,
Jean de Mailly, Bernard Zehrfuss; Jean
Prouvé designed the curtain walls. The
building is classified as an "historical
monument" and it houses a convention
centre, many shops and a hotel.
CUSTOMER’S NEED
Replacing the building's HVAC system was part of the
process of reorganization of the CNIT. The building was
partly reshaped; therefore, the customer wanted the
premises to be equipped with powerful but very silent
units. So as to maintain the site's innovating and modern
image, the products were also to be highly energy
efficient.
‘S SOLUTION
Wesper proposed @irtwin air handling units, because,
among other things, they are equipped with sound
attenuators and acoustic baffles that ensure a minimum
operating sound level. Those air handling units are
EUROVENT certified.

SANOFI AVENTIS ANTONY, FRANCE (2009)
Sanofi-Aventis is the 1st
pharmaceutical
group in Europe. It focuses on proposing
therapeutic solutions that are increasingly
adapted to the population's needs and is one
the most innovative entities of its sector.
CUSTOMER’S NEED
The building in Antony houses offices, but also R&D
labs. It needed an equipment that would ensure an
efficient air filtering so that no foreign body interferes
with the company's experiments.
‘S SOLUTION
Premi@ir & @irtwin air handling units were the ideal
product for this type of application. They provided
abundant fresh air and are quite silent; morevoer, they
are tailor-made manufactured so as to fit the specific
needs of each installation (as far as hygiene is
concerned, in particular). Premi@ir & @irtwin units are

CUSTOMER’S NEED
This 6-floor building that houses the offices of a
famous French bank was to be refurbished. It called for
an easy-to-install equipment, that would respect the
architecture of the building and air-condition each
room individually.
‘S SOLUTION
Excellence, discreton and energy efficience were
chosen: 16 Airwell Flow Logic groups and more than
270 extra slim cassettes were installed. In case of
compartmentalization/decompartmentalization of the
offices, no intervention on the dropped ceiling is
necessary, thanks to the installation of a wireless
control device. Moreover, this system can
simultaneously heat and cool; each office can thus be
treated autonomously. The whole system is managed
by the Intelligent Controller Flow Logic.

individually, whatever the season. Each unit was to
function autonomously.

Water source heat pumps were installed: they
perfectly fit office dropped ceilings and, thanks to
their STORM electronic board, 4 operating modes
are available, which enables the user to adapt the air
treatment to his convenience.

PARC CLUB DU MILLÉNAIRE
MONTPELLIER, FRANCE (2006)
CUSTOMER’S NEED
The Parc Club du Millénaire is a business centre
made of several little buildings that all comply with
the HQE goals. The customer was looking for a high
COP & EER equipment, that would macth the
modernism of the premises and the Mediterranean
climate of the region. The customer also wanted to
be able to connect lots of indoor units to the same
group.
‘S SOLUTION
The Airwell Flow Logic range met the customer's
demand and equipped the C to I buildings of the
complex. It allows a precise temperature regulation
thanks to its variable-speed compressors: the
variable capacity regulation doesn't consume any
extra energy.

OF ENNAHLI, TUNISIA (2009)
CUSTOMER’S NEED
The develoment of the technopole of Ennahli aims at
installing numerical spaces for the promotersof
innovative projects in new information &
communication technologies. Therefore, the
premises had to be equipped with units that would
ensure a strict control of the indoor temperature
(which is essential to the good functioning of the
computer material), as well as guarantee the comfort
of the people that work there.
‘S SOLUTION
A full set of air cooled chillers and fancoils was
proposed. Designed for suspended ceilings and air
ducts, fancoils perfectly matched the offices; they
brought there a healthy and fresh air, while the
reliable and efficient chillers allowed a precise
temperature regulation.

CUSTOMER’S NEED
The buildings were being reorganized. The challenge
cas to equip them with a modern HVAC system that
would respect their original style. Hence a demand
for an easy-to-install material, which would not
denature the premises and be able to treat some
specific rooms of the buildings (relaxation and
catering rooms, in particular).
‘S SOLUTION
Weser proposed a set of Premi@ir air handling units,
which ideally match this type of building. Indeed,
they guarantee the supply of a fresh air that can be
sanitized according to the client's demand, which
fitted the building's cooking, catering and relaxation
rooms. The indoor units provided by Wesper were
Aqu@fan fancoils whose performance, elegance and
minimum noise are meant to match this type of
application: their discretion and efficiency go well
together the beautiful mix of chic and modernism of
the premises.
