1st Level: At the Rotary Clubs
2nd Level: At the District Comitee
The selection process lasts the entire day and includes the
following procedure:
• General Knowledge Test – 25 points
• Essay – 20 points
• Personal Interview – 30 points
• Psychological Test – 25 points
The country placements follows the general
classification.

1st Outbound Orientation
At the first orientation, the outbound learn about:
• Rules of the YEP – “4Ds”
• Cultural Chock
• Language challenge – they are encourage to start
studying about the host country and the language
• Life with the host families
• School
• Rotary Project`s – They are encourage to be involved
at Rotary activities.
•Abuse and harassment Orientation
•Visa application
• Health Insurance
6. DISTRITO4760MINASGERAIS
1st Outbound Orientation
Besides the theoretical explanation, at this orientation,
the students are submitted to psychological dynamics,
like “Bafa Bafa”.
The former outbounds (Rotex) are presented to the
students and share their experiences.
The parents are invited to this orientation and they
learn how to deal with their children at another
country.

2nd Outbound Orientation
The students are oriented about:
• Airport procedures
• Luggage tips
• Use of the uniform
At the end of the meeting, there is a lecture from
someone who has lived abroad.
All outbound students receive a manual about the
YEP.
