After leaving University I worked for Moore and Nel in Pretoria and then Harry B Jacobs in Johannesburg, each for a year each before starting my own practice. The practice was focussed on private houses and some industrial developments. It was a very interesting time and I got mixed up with some developers and their idea of work and pay! I am really proud of two houses I did in the period in Irene. One for the mother of a friend of mine and the other as a result of the first house for a family living nearby.
