 Provides GSM mobile services in all the 22 telecom circles

services through DSL) in 87 cities in India. 
 Provides an integrated suite of Enterprise solutions, in 
addition to providing long distance connectivity both

 In Bharti Airtel once the Manpower budgeting is prepared by the CEO, GM-HR & 
HODs at the end of financial year. 
 The concerned manager of a vacant position requests for manpower through 
Manpower Requisition Form (MRF). GM-HR approves the form. If the manpower 
requirement is approved it is forwarded to recruitment manager. 
Then the sourcing of CVs is done, through various methods. Then the initial screening, 
if the candidate is selected then he is supposed to fill JAF, and then get the JAF form and 
mark the date of functional Interview . 
Short listing of CV’s as per requirement and then the candidates are called for the 
interviews. Then the candidate’s initial screening is done i.e. qualification of candidate is 
matched with the requirement. JAF is made to fill by the candidate. Then comes the 
functional interview round which is taken by the functional manager. If he qualifies 
functional interview round then the candidate goes for the salary negotiation, which 
is done by the HR. At last the offer letter is issued to the selected candidate.

Present Permanent Employees - 
The company considers the candidates from their sources for 
telecom industry because, 
 Availability of most suitable candidates 
 The policy of the organization to motivate the present employees. 
Generally the organization takes the candidates for the 
employment from the retired employees due to obligation. 
Sometimes the company re-employee the retired employee’s 
as a token of their loyalty to the organization.
On campus Recruitment 
Bharti Airtel, conduct search of employees by conducting interviews at the 
campuses of various institutes, universities and colleges for the posts of 
management trainees, technicians etc. 
The idea behind employee recommendations is that the present employees may 
have specific knowledge of their acquaintance. If present employees are 
satisfied with their job they communicate it to their acquaintance. 
Recruitment Partners 
Airtel works with a set of trusted recruitment partners who aid in an attempt to 
hire the best fit for the organization in line with core values and competencies. 
Recruitment partners are prudently selected through an empanelment activity 
held every 2 years. The senior HR leadership engages with consultants to gauge 
their understanding about Airtel and their business.

Most popular source for hiring experienced professionals in Airtel is the online 
job boards that include Naukri etc. Airtel as an organization is also increasingly 
moving towards increasing the number of hires through social media. 
Social Media 
The latest way to go in terms of recruitment is hiring through Social Media. 
Social media today has taken the talent acquisition vertical by a storm. In this 
field, the focus at Airtel is largely on Linkedin, Facebook and Twitter.

In case someone wants to join company and want to share their profile, they 
can visit their website www.airtel.in/careers, search for relevant job 
openings, register and apply for suitable field. If someone haven't found a job 
that suits their profile, they may register and leave the resume. The resume 
get saved in database and recruiters get in touch when needed.
