2. Habitat
The Giant Panda lives in the wet bamboo forest, but they have been pushed to the
small unlivable spots of China.
3. Diet
They are omnivores, so they eat bamboo, fruits, and grasses. Giant Pandas are
able to eat up to 30 kg of bamboo per day!
4. Lifespan/offspring
The Giant Panda can live from 20 to 35 years of life. They become pregnant for
only 2-3 days every spring, and only have one cub at a time.
5. Reason(s) for endangerment
Humans are the biggest reason for their endangerment. People hunt them for their
unique fur. People also destroy their habitat. Birds of prey, and leopards hunt
Giant Panda cubs.
6. Other interesting facts I learned
Female Giant Pandas mate by making a lot of groans to find a male. Their wrist
bone acts like a thumb. Only 2060 Giant Pandas are still living. They are native to
the mountain forests of China.
