3. WASTE SCENARIO OF BANGLADESH
• In our country every year 22.4 million ton garbage is produced.
• Garbage is produced 150kg per head every year.
• Of them 76% can be recyclable.
• Only 37% of garbage are under garbage management.
• These huge amounts of garbage are dumped not recycled.
5. DISADVANTAGES OF GARBAGE
• Mother of many type pollution i,e; air pollution, odour
pollution, water pollution etc.
• Our living areas are get dirty for garbage.
• Create blockage in our drainage system.
• Causes death to living animals like fish in the water.
• Sometimes epidemics are break out for these dirties.
6. HOW IT CAN BE WEALTH?
• According to statistics, 76% of garbage are recyclable.
• This recycled garbage are used to produce energy like biogas,
electricity and bio-fertilizer.
• Recycling will reduce blockages of our drainage system automatically.
• It’ll support the national grid in some context of power and energy.
7. SOME STATISTICS ABOUT WASTE TO POWER
PRODUCTION
• 550KWh electricity can be produced from only 1 ton garbage.
• 1000MWh electricity is possible from these 76% recyclable garbage.
• 35000 metric ton fertilizer can be produced from these garbage along with pow
• 90% drainage blockage system can be reduced by recycling these garbage.
8. HOW TO COLLECT
• With the help of municipalities we can set up some garbage
collection booth.
• Making awareness among people about the benefits.
• Collecting from the municipalities dump yard.
• Collecting from industrial areas.
9. USED TECHNOLOGIES
DEPOLYMERIZATION
This technology uses thermal decomposition in the
presence of water. In this process, organic compounds
from waste are heated at a high temperature to create
thermal energy. In this process, we can generate fossil
fuels from the waste. The process of thermal
decomposition is also called Hydrous Pyrolysis.
10. GASIFICATION
This a developing process to create energy from
waste. In this process, carbonaceous substances are
converted into carbon dioxide, carbon mono oxide
and a small amount of hydrogen at a high
temperature in the presence of oxygen. In this
process, Synthesis gas is generated which is a good
means of alternate energy. Synthesis gas is then
used to produce electricity and heat.
11. COLD PLASMA PYROLYSIS
Cold plasma pyrolysis makes it possible to convert
waste plastics into hydrogen, methane and ethylene.
Both hydrogen and methane can be used as clean fuels,
since they only produce minimal amounts of harmful
compounds such as soot, unburnt hydrocarbons and
carbon dioxide (CO₂). And ethylene is basic building
block of most plastics used.
