1. CASE STUDY
Ratnamala Sudam Palave, a 15 year old girl lives in a a small room located in Prabhudda
Nagar,Gate No.4, Vashi Naka, Chembur, Mumbai 400074.
Born and brought up in impoverished circumstances she fought against all odds and
successfully passed her 10th
standard from Mahatma Education Society School,
Chembur,with a creditable 58% marks.
Her father lives in their village and has no employment or income .Her mother ekes out a
sparse and harsh living by working in peoples' homes and supplementing her income by
doing odd tailoring jobs.
Life is a constant struggle with their limited means.
Ratnamala resolved to better her circumstances, become independent financially and
support her family.
She learnt about Pratham's Foundation Course+MS-CIT and approached Shri Ajit
Bansode,the Center Head and evinced her interest in pursuing this course.Ajit Sir enrolled
her in the course, and Ratnamala took keen interest and worked diligently and completed
the course successfully.
She enrolled herself in DMLT(Diploma in Medical Lab Technology) course as
recommended by her aunt's daughter at Tulsi Technical Institute and is currently pursuing
the same.
Her aunt 's daughter is helping Ratnamala with the course fees and giving her moral
support and confidence.Her ambition is to complete her B.Sc and get into the medical
profession and graduate as a doctor.
Ratnamala expresses her gratitude and is thankful to PACE Training Center and its staff
for molding her into a confident, knowledgeable, conversant in English and a well
rounded personality.
She now looks forward to a future full of hope and is fueled by her ambition to become
successful in life and achieve her goals,come what may.
