8. At first I wanted to give her a 4 simply
because I never give out 5’s. But when I was
trying to find ways with which she could raise
her dynamism, I found myself at a loss.
9. She held my attention for the entire 20
minutes, and I was able to relate to her. I
found her jokes funny and found myself
enjoying her speech.
10. Like Garr Reynolds and Nancy Duarte
said, Elizabeth used story in her speech so
that the audience did not get bored watching
her talk.
11. Telling jokes is good to
help the audience stay
attentive and awake. An
amused audience is a
happy audience.
12. While Elizabeth did
use jokes and
stories in her
speech, like Sir Ken
Robinson, I think
that Ken used
perhaps too many
jokes. His speech
seemed almost like
a comedy.
13. Use storytelling, experiences from your life
that make your speech feel less like a speech.
Something that the audience can relate to.
14. Use jokes. Making the
audience laugh means
that they enjoy your
speech.
