• Improved Finder when using SQL Case-Sensitive Collation
o SQL_Latin1_General_Bin v SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS
o If you use Microsoft SQL with case-sensitive collation, you can now set
up the Finder to show records in search results that do not exactly match
the case of text you enter in the Filter field.
To set up the Finder so that search results include all case variations of text
you specify:
o In the Sage 300 ERP Runtime folder, edit a4w.ini.
o Under [A4WSQLS], add "ForceCaseInsensitiveLike=yes".
o This is included in 2012 PU1, 6.0 Product Update 2 and 5.6 PU 4.

• Upgrade concerns:
– Make sure you remove the 6.0 Portal Files (uninstall 6.0 and
rename the C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesSageSage
Accpac folder) prior to installing 2012.
– Delete the Portal Database and have the system recreate the

– We have found that if a combination of 6.0 and 2012 Portal files
are on the same machine, presents problems with Portal.
