5. Influence terms refer to social control, not control over nature. It is also a place-holder for the whole family. A relation among actors
such that the wants, desires, preferences, or intentions of one or more actors affect the actions, or predispositions to act, of one or more other
actors (Dahl, 1990).
In this chapter, the author, Robert Dahl, would like to postpone the discussion with regards to influence terms. It will allow the readers
to conceptualize how we should describe influence. He provided examples to further understand it.

Moreover, nadir of control more likely refers to a state of being as a man when he himself can’t control his self. Apparently, some of the reasons why a
simple analysis is complicated and not simple is due to distribution, groups, gradations, potential and achieved power, scope and domain, individual and collective
power, sphere of control, and consciousness.
