3D modeling is becoming more and more crucial in the world as modern hardware has given rise to
technologies that allows for more and more realistic graphics. The 3D modeling market was valued
at approximately 13 billion dollars in 2020 and is expected to grow at 20% annually for the next few
years.
Many industries can make use of 3D modeling and there are a variety of applications to use. We chose
to teach Blender because it is free and also very powerful, able meet the needs of any beginner and
event beyond. It is also very popular which means that if you run into a problem, there are a lot of
resources to help you solve it.
This course is created partly due to the popular demand from our students who have taken our
pipeline of courses taking students from a complete beginner to publishing their own VR app. With
the skills that you learn in this course and the VR development pipeline, you are able to make assets
and develop your own games and VR worlds with them.

Universe was started due to its founder Nicolas Barone’s
frustration with how online courses work today. There is
no live learning experience but instead students get pre-
recorded videos. There is also no relationship building
other than through discussion forums.
This is why on average these online courses have just a 15%
completion rate. Our courses which are taught live in the
metaverse have over 4 times that completion rate. We bring
that in-person learning environment online by teaching it
in the metaverse complete with live metaverse instruction,
demonstrations, assessment, and socializing. We’ve taught
over 10,000 students and have a 4.9/5 star user rating.
We also offer a pipeline of 4 courses taking students from
a complete beginner to building and publishing their own
VR applications. This 3D modeling course is designed to be
synergetic with the pipeline but can be taken on its own.
ABOUT US
Because of how our courses are set up, we’ve
seen a 4 times better graduation rate than
traditional online courses. You can see why
from our student responses to the right.
LEARNING THROUGH
THE METAVERSE
87%
of students said our course was significantly
better or better than an online course
90%
of students said our 3D experiences were
helpful or very helpful to their learning.
85%
of students said it was much easier or
easier to stay motivated

the basic of topics of 3D modeling, specifically low-poly models.. This course requires no previous
experience and will teach students of all levels to be able to create their own models with Blender. You
will go through our custom developed curriculum each week with most weeks’s assignment requiring
the submission of a model. Additionally, some weeks contain challenges that you can complete for
extra points to count towards graduation.
We employ a flipped classroom model. Outside of live sessions you watch videos and complete
assignments outside the classroom on your own schedule. We have office hours where all students are
welcome to come and get help with any questions they have. Then we have live classes for each topic
where we do 3D assessment, demonstrations, and Q&A to solidify your learning. At the end of select
sessions, we breakout and explore student made VR worlds together. This allows students to socialize
and network with their peers and instructors in the metaverse.

04 UNIVERSE REVIEWS
I’m thankful that I came across this course. It provided the engagement I needed to stay focused to
get through the material. When I got stuck on the units I was able to quickly get the help I needed
in the class’ Discord channel to continue. One thing that went above and beyond a normal online
course for me was the social networking provided at the end of each class. We would teleport
to different worlds after our lecture and were able to make friends with the other students. The
instructors made themselves available after class and were easy to approach for questions. I’m
looking forward to taking more courses to learn the Unity program.

Very well designed course. The availability for guidance and help, from
the instructors was unlike any class or school I have ever taken. The
perfect example of an “institution of learning”. I had no experience
with any type of coding and completely new to VR. I learned so much
and was able to finish the session at a level of being challenged, but
not overwhelmed. thanks guys

I’m glad I found and took this course. It got me started in the right
direction and helped me quickly learn and comfortable with Unity
tool and C#. Having great support really made the course more
engaging. I plan to take more courses to learn VR programming
with these 2 instructors Jeff and Nicolas. They are very supportive
and great instructors.

Welcome to the new age of teaching! Where all tech courses can be taught online... but I just, I
don’t know about you, but sometimes trying to learn from a Udemy course seems off. Also linkedin
Learning is a savage when it comes to notifications and other services, and it can be intimidating.
I love TryUniverse, cause as the great Vin Diesel once said, “ We are family.” I love being in the
virtual class room, and getting that perfect student atmosphere. Also for someone who is starting
off with very few coding knowledge. The instructors were very patient. The discord is super helpful
and cool. Shout out to everyone! It just for the price of online courses, you get so much more, and
VR is booming. I highly recommend it.

I would recommend this class to
anyone who wants to introduced
into the world of VR . It doesn’t
matter your age your nationality
your gender come with a open mind
and willing to put in the work. The
instructors Nicholas and Jeff will
walk you through it. The classes
were fun and well put together.
Instructors were there at any time
we needed help or had additional
questions. I learned so much and
made many friends.
Can’t wait for the next class.

Outstanding experience! I was as
interested in seeing what education
was like as i was the content. This IS
the future of education and Nick and
Chris are on the leading edge! If this
is a field of interest for you or you
are just a VR enthusiast, you need to
take this class.

I came into this course fresh. No experience
with coding or unity. My friend and I tried for
a few weeks teaching ourselves via youtube
videos and were completely overwhelmed.
The virtual classroom setting with support on
Discord works. The course jumps you right in. It
seems impossible at first, but as you continue
practicing by doing you get a sense of how
the logic and systems work. By the end of the
course we were able to create an experience
I wouldn’t have thought possible six weeks
prior. If you’re looking to get into Unity or just
want to test yourself and see if you can create,
this is a great way to do it.

I randomly saw a FB ad for this
course, and decided to check out
the introductory session. I’ve always
wanted to produce/manage VR work,
and for me this means acquiring at
least some firsthand experience
(this helps to both understand your
dev team’s process and confidently
explain the steps to other teams and
stakeholders). I thought what the
heck and signed up for the rest of the
class: 9 weeks later my friends are
sick and tired of hearing how much
fun I’ve had. I assumed the brain
cells that were active during my time
in front-end development years ago
had atrophied, but I was delighted
to see that wasn’t the case. On a
serious note I had also been down
and missing more technical work at
my current branding agency, and this
was the perfect dopamine trigger. I’m
excited for the next class!

  • 3. 3 I N T R O D U C T I O N T O 3 D M O D E L L I N G W I T H B L E N D E R 3D modeling is becoming more and more crucial in the world as modern hardware has given rise to technologies that allows for more and more realistic graphics. The 3D modeling market was valued at approximately 13 billion dollars in 2020 and is expected to grow at 20% annually for the next few years. Many industries can make use of 3D modeling and there are a variety of applications to use. We chose to teach Blender because it is free and also very powerful, able meet the needs of any beginner and event beyond. It is also very popular which means that if you run into a problem, there are a lot of resources to help you solve it. This course is created partly due to the popular demand from our students who have taken our pipeline of courses taking students from a complete beginner to publishing their own VR app. With the skills that you learn in this course and the VR development pipeline, you are able to make assets and develop your own games and VR worlds with them. 01 COURSE OVERVIEW
  • 4. 4 I N T R O D U C T I O N T O 3 D M O D E L L I N G W I T H B L E N D E R In this course, Introduction to 3D Modeling with Blender, you will learn how to use the Blender software along with some useful plugins . You will build your own 3D models that can be used when developing your own games or worlds in the VR Application Development pipeline. You can also sell your assets on various asset stores such as the Unity Asset Store. You will learn how to navigate the Blender interface, follow the modeling workflow, understand 3D modeling best practices, and create 3D models. By the end of the program, students will have built a minimum of five models to their portfolios. This course assumes no previous experience so students of all levels are welcome. • 5. 5 I N T R O D U C T I O N T O 3 D M O D E L L I N G W I T H B L E N D E R Universe was started due to its founder Nicolas Barone’s frustration with how online courses work today. There is no live learning experience but instead students get pre- recorded videos. There is also no relationship building other than through discussion forums. This is why on average these online courses have just a 15% completion rate. Our courses which are taught live in the metaverse have over 4 times that completion rate. We bring that in-person learning environment online by teaching it in the metaverse complete with live metaverse instruction, demonstrations, assessment, and socializing. We’ve taught over 10,000 students and have a 4.9/5 star user rating. We also offer a pipeline of 4 courses taking students from a complete beginner to building and publishing their own VR applications. This 3D modeling course is designed to be synergetic with the pipeline but can be taken on its own. ABOUT US Because of how our courses are set up, we’ve seen a 4 times better graduation rate than traditional online courses. You can see why from our student responses to the right. LEARNING THROUGH THE METAVERSE 87% of students said our course was significantly better or better than an online course 90% of students said our 3D experiences were helpful or very helpful to their learning. 85% of students said it was much easier or easier to stay motivated

  • 13. 13 I N T R O D U C T I O N T O 3 D M O D E L L I N G W I T H B L E N D E R 04 UNIVERSE REVIEWS I’m thankful that I came across this course. It provided the engagement I needed to stay focused to get through the material. When I got stuck on the units I was able to quickly get the help I needed in the class’ Discord channel to continue. One thing that went above and beyond a normal online course for me was the social networking provided at the end of each class. We would teleport to different worlds after our lecture and were able to make friends with the other students. The instructors made themselves available after class and were easy to approach for questions. I’m looking forward to taking more courses to learn the Unity program. Brit Gibbs 2 months ago Very well designed course. The availability for guidance and help, from the instructors was unlike any class or school I have ever taken. The perfect example of an “institution of learning”. I had no experience with any type of coding and completely new to VR. I learned so much and was able to finish the session at a level of being challenged, but not overwhelmed. thanks guys dominic santiago 5 months ago I’m glad I found and took this course. It got me started in the right direction and helped me quickly learn and comfortable with Unity tool and C#. Having great support really made the course more engaging. I plan to take more courses to learn VR programming with these 2 instructors Jeff and Nicolas. They are very supportive and great instructors. Julie Tonnu 6 months ago Welcome to the new age of teaching! Where all tech courses can be taught online... but I just, I don’t know about you, but sometimes trying to learn from a Udemy course seems off. Also linkedin Learning is a savage when it comes to notifications and other services, and it can be intimidating. I love TryUniverse, cause as the great Vin Diesel once said, “ We are family.” I love being in the virtual class room, and getting that perfect student atmosphere. Also for someone who is starting off with very few coding knowledge. The instructors were very patient. The discord is super helpful and cool. Shout out to everyone! It just for the price of online courses, you get so much more, and VR is booming. I highly recommend it. Stef k 2 months ago I would recommend this class to anyone who wants to introduced into the world of VR . It doesn’t matter your age your nationality your gender come with a open mind and willing to put in the work. The instructors Nicholas and Jeff will walk you through it. The classes were fun and well put together. Instructors were there at any time we needed help or had additional questions. I learned so much and made many friends. Can’t wait for the next class. Thurlene Wade 2 months ago Outstanding experience! I was as interested in seeing what education was like as i was the content. This IS the future of education and Nick and Chris are on the leading edge! If this is a field of interest for you or you are just a VR enthusiast, you need to take this class. Rick Casteel 5 months ago I came into this course fresh. No experience with coding or unity. My friend and I tried for a few weeks teaching ourselves via youtube videos and were completely overwhelmed. The virtual classroom setting with support on Discord works. The course jumps you right in. It seems impossible at first, but as you continue practicing by doing you get a sense of how the logic and systems work. By the end of the course we were able to create an experience I wouldn’t have thought possible six weeks prior. If you’re looking to get into Unity or just want to test yourself and see if you can create, this is a great way to do it. Clark Crawford 9 months ago 4.9/5 Click here to read all the reviews! I randomly saw a FB ad for this course, and decided to check out the introductory session. I’ve always wanted to produce/manage VR work, and for me this means acquiring at least some firsthand experience (this helps to both understand your dev team’s process and confidently explain the steps to other teams and stakeholders). I thought what the heck and signed up for the rest of the class: 9 weeks later my friends are sick and tired of hearing how much fun I’ve had. I assumed the brain cells that were active during my time in front-end development years ago had atrophied, but I was delighted to see that wasn’t the case. On a serious note I had also been down and missing more technical work at my current branding agency, and this was the perfect dopamine trigger. I’m excited for the next class!
