WHAT IS SCHOOLS
INTERNATIONALISM ?
 In the Finnish core curricula and
local curricula, the
internationalism is considered
as a value, but it´s also inside the
subjects descriptions.
 The curriculum obligates the
schools to build its
internationalism, so that it´s
equally usable for all learners.
 Diverse learning environments :
STEM and ICT tools are
exploited in meaningful ways.
Levels of Internationalization at
Schools by using STEM
INTERNATIONAL OFFICE
The schools internationalism can be defined
and described what kind of learning it aims
to develop and strengthen. The four key
points of the international office could be:
 The embrace and increase the
international skills - including
language skills, cultural knowledge
and STEM
 Deepening or adding the school's own
competence in the specific matter
(e.g. science)
 Preparation for the
multicultural/intercultural learning
environment
 Understanding and absorbing the
global responsibility / global
education
GUIDELINES FOR THE
