1. Breast Self-Exams Recommendation:
Breast exams should be done monthly and performed at the same time every month. The best
recommended time is one week after menstrual period ends due to fluctuation that can sometimes
cause changes in breasts.
Patients that do not have periods or irregular periods should do the following:
Self-exams once a month regardless of menstrual cycle—pick a good day that is easy to remember.

What to do when you find a lump in your breast:
1. Make an appointment with your OB/GYN or PCM.
2. After evaluation provider will recommend appropriate follow-up.
Some recommendations may be
1. Radiology
2 Consultation with a breast specialist
3. Short interval follow-up
