2. Continental Drift
 Continental drift is the moving continents. Before we had earth
visual that called Pangaea.
 Pangaea mean whole land. Then locations of continent is
changed by continental drift.

theory is Alfred Wegener
(1915)
 According to Wikipedia
resource the theory was:
“All continent were joined
in one giant continent then
replace the location and
moved away from each
other.

 is the ring of active and sleepy volcanoes. Ex:
Pacific ring of fire. A lot of volcanoes in coast of
continents around the pacific ocean.
 Boundary type is convergent plate boundary.
 It is important because arc and active volcanoes
appear by one tectonic plate goes another.

• Mountains formed by many different ways.
Crashing two tectonic plates, lava came because of
volcanoes and turn to sold that make mountains.
• Types of mountains: Folded, Dome, Fault-Block
and Horst & Grabens.
• Folded mountains are created by tectonic plates
pushing each other.
Ex: Himalayan Mountains in Asia, the Alps in Europe
the Andes in South America, the Rockies in North America, the
Urals in Russia

 Dome mountains are created by
melted of rock getting up from
earth’s crust.
 Fault-Block mountains are created
by cracking earth’s crust and
appeared block moving up or down.
Ex: The Sierra Nevada mountains in North
America, the Harz Mountains in Germany.

 Horst & Grabens mountains are formed from
extension of earth’s crust. In this type of
mountain broken block moving up and down.
