The sodium chlorite and activator are maintained
in the micro-reactor until water is added. The
addition of water triggers the chemical reaction,
producing pure aqueous chlorine dioxide. It is
simple to use, yet a highly effective biocide.

5. The SMT Patented Process
After adding water, water molecules
permeate the membrane starting the
chemical reaction. As ClO₂ gas is
generated, it traverses the
membrane and enters in the
surrounding water. The membrane
traps the reaction’s leftovers,
keeping it out of the solution thereby

polysaccharide fibers
which anchor them to
surfaces and to each
other.
This slimy secretion
creates an impenetrable
