  7. 7. Activity 1 • Divide your page into 5 sections as you can see on the right • Each section will have a different title. The top section is called: Celtic design • Draw some Celtic designs in the top box under the title
  8. 8. Clothes • Wealthy Celts wore gold bracelets as well as collars known as torcs • The léine was the long tunic worn by a Celtic nobleman • A belt called a crios was usually tied across the tunic • Woollen cloak called a brat was often worn over it
  9. 9. Activity 2 • The heading for your second box is Celtic Clothing • Draw a Celtic man in your second box wearing a: – Torc – Léine – Crios – Brat
  10. 10. Religion • The Celts worshipped a number of gods • Lug: their god of skillful fighting, poetry and music • Lughnasa (August) is named after the god Lug • Gods of the harvest and gods of the earth and land • Goddesses such as Danu (Mother of the Gods) and Anu
  11. 11. They carved religious idols (Gods) • To worship Gods • Simple design (They didn’t know what their Gods looked like) • Protective stance • Triple head • All seeing
