You are the purchasing manager at ABC Company that specializes in designing and producing logos
for local high school and college sports teams. The company has 35 non networked computers that
are usedthroughoutthe companyfor common business applications. The computers are four years
old,and youwould like to replace them. The director of information technology agrees, but he has
reservations.Evaluateandcompare the costof new computers,comparingthe majorfeatures found
on system units at three different price levels which less than RM2000, RM2000-RM3000, greater
than RM3000. Discuss the major features of system units at the various price levels and which
computer you would recommend. Include in your discussion recommendations on which system
units would meet the company’s needs most economically.
