1. DECEMBER 2015 NEWSLETTER
Dear Family and Friends,
May God bless you all and we hope you all will have a wonderful blessed Christmas.
This year God has led us to expanding our ministry. It began at the end of December
2014 when we accepted an invitation to Samoa, where we taught DEEM and about
water purification.
We provided water filters to an elementary school, a college campus, a resort, and two
families, so that they could test the system. Immediately they were very impressed. At
this time, we have many people interested in obtaining filters. We were scheduled to
return later this year to teach DEEM to the pastors of the Congregational church but the
plans were not realized this year due to lack of funding; however, we still have an open
invitation and doors remain open to return. We have also been invited to take the
DEEM training ministry and water filtration to the Kingdom of Tonga, also in the South
Pacific.
In Mexico things are going very well: We have several churches working with us and
there have been some monumental relationships formed in the Chiapan Jungle that
should open doors for the Gospel among the Zapatistas. The Zapatistas are not a people
group; rather, they are a rebel group that is made up from many of the indigenous
groups in the region. In the past they caused us many personal difficulties, denying us
access to many of the villages. Things began looking up earlier this year when one of
our evangelists ran into one of their top leaders and shared the Gospel with him. Pastor
Pablo has been visiting and discipling him every since, and he is now open to meeting
with us.
Pastor Eray continues to engage is Carranza. Happily, our coaching and discipleship is
starting to show fruit in the lives and actions of our trained leaders. In July we left
medicine with Pastor Eray in hopes that he would plan an Evangelistic medical clinic.
This fall with the help of a local doctor they did just that in Carranza and had many
professions of faith.
We will be returning to Chiapas in early February. Plans include a meeting with the
converted Zapatista leader during our trip. We will also continue discipleship, building
upon the previous training of families from the two main churches whom we have been
working with. Part of our time there will be devoted to planning our June mission trips.
We are expecting 3 groups this year, and are looking forward to expand God’s Kingdom
with the Evangelistic medical and eyeglass clinics they conduct.
Last month we were invited to go to Atlanta to preach to a small church in India via
SKYPE. The site of our church service was in the living room of Sergio’s cousin’s house.
Ravi who started this church only 5 weeks earlier, came over to my cousins house and
translated for us. One of the young ladies in attendance led Worship, and I had the
privilege of preaching to the distant congregation. Even through Skype we could feel
the Spirit moving between them and us. The message God gave me was about abiding
2. in Christ (John 15:1-11) and how He is a jealous God (Exodus 20:5). God blessed the
Word, and 8 people surrendered to Jesus as Lord. It was amazing! We were able to
share our DEEM training with the leaders and were asked to prayerfully consider going
to India to teach and to provide them with our water filter program. We are currently
in discussion about dates for 2016.
Recap of ministry for 2015 is as follows:
By God’s grace we were able to present the Gospel in several parts of the world
including the US, Mexico, Samoa, and remotely to India.
1240 people heard a presentation of the Gospel.
255 people made professions of faith.
8 people were reconciled to Christ.
610 people received tangible help through our Medical and eyeglass Clinics.
210 Bibles were distributed.
320 people received clean drinking water.
The numbers listed above do not reflect the additional results from the evangelistic
efforts of our national partners.
We humbly thank God for the privilege to be at His service and are always overwhelmed
when we see the results. These are the results of our collective service to God; that is,
yours and ours, because we cannot go if we are not sent. Furthermore, many of you
participated in an Evangelistic medical or eyeglass clinic. To all of you, we extend our
deepest gratitude for all you do for the Lord through our ministry.
Our Vision for 2016:
We would like to provide at least 500 more families with water filters.
We plan on completing 2 trips to Mexico, one trip to include 3 short-term mission trips.
We are in conversation about a future trip to Samoa, and future ministry in the Kingdom
of Tonga.
We are in the process of arranging a trip to India either in Spring or Fall of 2016.
To accomplish all this we need to get 500 filters donated at $150.00 per filter. When
you donate a filter, you provide a family with clean drinking water for 10 years, and the
opportunity to hear the Gospel for the first time, or for further discipleship.
Please consider being an ambassador for our ministry by sharing with others. We also
need to continue to raise support for our general fund. This helps us to stay in ministry
and covers all expenses related to DMI. As you know DMI is our organization, a 501c3
through which we do ministry. When you donate through disciplemultipliers.org
whether by providing water filters or donating to our ministry, is all tax deductible.
Prayer requests:
3. Pray for all our leaders in Mexico as God uses them to glorify Himself, that God would
give them wisdom, discernment and valor to confront the enemy for Christ.
Pray for the opportunities before us, that God would provide through the resources
to accomplish all He has put before us.
Pray for the lost around the World, that they would come to a saving knowledge of
Jesus Christ and that they would join in service through obedience to Christ.
Pray we will be able to share the Gospel with a multitude of individuals and for God
to reap a great harvest.
Pray for us as we are being confronted by the enemy on many sides. Sometimes we
liken missionaries to superheroes (and maybe some of them are). The truth is, we
are mere flesh and blood and are in great need of your prayers and support. Please
continue to pray for our physical health and financial resources.

God bless you all.
With much love in Christ,
Sergio and Beth
