Our country freedom from British in 1947 and we had facing many
problems such as Education, Poverty, Technology and
unestablished government Etc. But nowadays we heard and saw
from TV and Newspapers. Everyday someone rapped to the girls.
This is a biggest social stigma on our society.
53% of children in our country faces the child sexual abuse.
According to the National Crime Records Bureau, rape and murder
of girl child increase every year.
Introduction to Child Abuse

Child means a person being below the age of 18vyears. Our country
has also accepted the 18 years or above it they are adult and they
got some developmental rights such as Voting Cast, Driving
License, Etc.
Meaning of Child

Child abuse might be Physical, Mental torture,
Negligent treatment and sexual abuse. Any of the
above those are really harmful or dangerous to the
health of the child.
What Is Child Abuse

Physical word means all body parts and Abuse means
unsocial behaviour by oral or unnecessary touch. Means
someone wants to touch the private body parts, hitting,
slapping, hair pulling Etc.

Commonly we knows the mental means Mind, its true
but mental words came from psychology word that
means those behaviour or act to barriers for the child
development. Mental torture is an act which means
physical or psychological pain on a person.

It means lack of inadequate foods, Cloths, shelter or
lack of medical care that means medical neglect.
Negligent Treatment

Sexual abuse means unwanted physical relationship
from the opposite gender or same gender (Lesbian and
Gay). It is an act forced upon a Girl, Women, Boy, Man
or Child without their consent.

There are seven types of sexual abuse such as
I. Sexual assault
II. Attempted to rape
III. Rape
IV. Serial rape
V. Gang rape
VI. Sodomy and
VII. Incest

Any action by physical or by verbal with a sexual nature
and done without consent from both sides.

Meaning of sexual harassment
It is a behaviour characterized by the making of
unwelcome and inappropriate sexual remarks or
physical advances in an Institute, workplace or other
professional or social situation.
There are two types of sexual harassment:
I. Quid Pro Quo Sexual Harassment and
II. Hostile Work Environment Sexual Harassment.

Quid Pro Quo Sexual Harassment
It is the sexual favors in exchange for any type of
benefits. This could mean that, in return for some type
of sexual favor, the victim would receive more money,
good marks in academic areas Etc.

Hostile Work Environment Sexual Harassment
It can consist of passing comments, vulgar jokes, and
repeated sexual benefits that impact the ability of a
student, siblings to do his or her activity.

Meaning of good touch
Good touch and "bad" touch are words most commonly used to
explain to children what touch is and isn't okay, and help them
understand what situations they should tell a safe person about
and ask for help, and how they should treat other people. For
children, "good" touch is touch that cares for them, that is
necessary for their health or safety, or makes them feel safe, or is
fun.

Meaning of bad touch
Bad touch is any touch that they don't want or makes them feel
scared, or any secret touch, or any touch on their genitals or
bottom, unless it's necessary for their health. For children playing
together, a good rule is: if the other person isn't having fun, you
have to stop.

These are touches that keep children safe and are good
for them, and that make children feel cared for and
important.
Like; hugging by parents, Friends (same gender) Etc.

These are touches that hurt children’s bodies or
feelings.
Like; hitting, pushing, pinching, and kicking Etc.

These are touches that might be safe but that a child
doesn’t want from that person or at that moment.

eyes movement of a person. Behaviour can be modify
or occur if right person or expert will guide and proper
counselling to the victims.
There are many types of behaviour but
commonly we used to two types of behaviour;
desirable behaviour and undesirable behaviour.

That behaviours unacceptable to the society or related
to the community. This means wrong activities doing by
a person.

It is a method of reducing or stopping something to
specific problem of human behaviour, Health problems.
There are three types of prevention such as
Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Prevention

Primary Prevention
Take initiatives action before sexual violence has occurred. “action
for everyone”, that set cultural norms.
Like; to aware the society through awareness campaigns for
prevention of child abuse, To organize family support program. Etc.

Secondary Prevention
The priority should be on emerging exposure and
provision of a supportive environment in schools,
community and families. To take dynamic action against
the accused

Tertiary Prevention
To develop multi disciplinary approach in every villages.
Should involve coordination among the police, courts,
counselors, doctors and social workers.

It’s not okay to touch someone else’s private body
parts.
It’s not okay for someone to touch his or her own
private body parts in front of you.
It’s not okay for someone to ask you to touch his or
her private body parts.
It’s not okay for someone to ask you to take your
clothes off or to take pictures or videos of you with
your clothes off.
Teach your children the following
safety rules:

It’s not okay for someone to show you photos or
videos of people without their clothes.
Shout “STOP” or scream as loudly as you can for help.
Run fast to a safe place or where there are other
people.
When someone shows their personal parts to you, tell
someone you trust i.e. mother, father, grandparent,
teacher etc. Keep on telling someone until someone
believes you and takes action.
