new issues, refer complex and/or high risk issues to Director for resolution; interpret HR policies and
explain HR processes and procedures to staff.

Along with the Director, participate in employee benefit plan renewals to include working with broker,
analyzing the impact of any cost increases to the University and the employees, communicating changes
with employees on any changes and enrollment periods.
Administer and manage life insurance, long term disability and short term disability plans to include
enrollment, processing of claims, and tracking leave time. Handle Executive Benefits and manage FMLA
related leave and Worker’s Compensation leave/claims.
Administer Student Health Insurance program including working with broker to recommend the best
comprehensive plan, ensure timely enrollment of students, reconciling bills and providing customer
support to students and their parents.
Work collaboratively with 5 representatives from other local colleges and universities to coordinate
Building Bridges Across Maryland training program and conduct Notre Dame’s training sessions.
Analyze, prepare and input data for student payroll; work collaboratively with financial aid office to
manage the student employment program. Serve as backup for the Payroll Coordinator for the
faculty/staff payroll.
Responsible for the planning and execution of all HR related events including Service Awards, annual
benefits fair, and charitable organization drives.
Enter new employees in online benefits system and in HRIS, complete IT request form to ensure new
employees have all IT needs before their start date.
Compile data for various surveys (IPEDS, CUPA, AAUP).

As secretary for the Treatment Foster Care program, I monitored and reminded social workers and case
managers of upcoming appointments, prepared informational packets and advertisements to recruit
foster parents, sent out necessary letters to foster parents and DSS workers, prepared foster parent
training materials and kept track of their training hours.

Promoted to reservationist position after working for 3 months as a front desk clerk.
Responsible for booking all individual, group, international, and internet customers for the hotel.
