Funding

growing local economy.
Phoenix, AZ – January 12, 2018 – For immediate public release
Paraffin International, Inc., the maker of Parasilk® brand products including gLOVE Treat®
personal use paraffin wax treatments, announced today the closing of $3.6 Million in Series A
Funding. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The investment was led by an undisclosed
group of local investors.
“It was extremely important to us to find local investors that believed in what we are creating,”
said CEO Deanna Montrose. “We are focused on building a Made in the USA product right here
in Arizona with Arizona workers and Arizona capital. We were able to find investors very much
aligned with that vision and we are very excited for this opportunity to continue to grow our
company”.
The company plans to use the infusion of capital to grow and scale production, increase
inventory, hire additional staff and continue to brand and market Parasilk® paraffin wax
treatments and products. Montrose declined to provide specific revenue numbers but did say
that revenues almost quadrupled year over year in 2017 owing much of that growth to the
increase in demand with the decision to bring manufacturing into the US. Parasilk® has been
featured on Oprah’s O List for wellness, Arthritis Today, The View and most recently on Good
Morning America.
“The popularity of our Made in the USA product with our current direct to consumer approach
has really sparked the interest of several major distributors across many different categories
and verticals,” said Montrose. “We see our demand significantly increasing and this funding
allows us to stay ahead of that growth.”
