This research report looks to lay out a basic timeline for the evolution of online teaching and streaming platforms. Starting in the past, the report talks about the habits of society before the pandemic and how those habits have either been challenged or reinforced since adapting to what is for many people their first-ever quarantine. The report includes a survey and also speaks on the present-day circumstances concerning social distancing and the current mindstate of people. 2. Abstract
This research report looks to lay out a basic timeline for the evolution of online teaching and streaming platforms.
Starting in the past, the report talks about the habits of society before the pandemic and how those habits have either been
challenged or reinforced since adapting to what is for many people their first-ever quarantine. The report includes a survey and
also speaks on the present-day circumstances concerning social distancing and the current mindstate of people. Going further, it
predicts the future outcome of society and technology in a world past COVID-19, particularly in the areas of entertainment and

Notes de l'éditeur
People are becoming more enticed by the idea of taking learning out of a brick and mortar school building, to coffee shops, on walks, and even to the couch in their own homes. Since the early 2000’s online learning has been steadily improving and evolving.
It used to be only for post-secondary education; However, due to extenuating circumstances and exponential technological advancements, online learning has extended from graduate students all the way down the ladder to middle school students.
Technology back then was not as advanced as it is not so not many people even had access to internet let alone were taking online classes
Most everyday places, hole-in-the-walls, banks, churches, schools, restaurants, and huge business buildings were asked to close their doors, and if possible continue business with none face to face interaction.
Even all professional sports: NBA and college basketball, NFL and college football, golf, tennis, etc., have put their seasons on hold until further notice. Now sports are replaced with ESPN+. Hulu and Disney+ offer package deals to gain access to an ESPN subscription.
This has become especially popular because of the rise in fans of UFC Due to streaming, sections of entertaining that once never relied on technology are still alive and in some cases growing because of streaming. Like our sports.
College students, with the exception of some primary and secondary educational institutions, are still in school and taking classes until the end of the school year. Also, some professionals like teachers, principals, and those working for big corporations like FedEx, have continued to work from home. Which these also have fed into growing streaming services and online video services.
What many people have decided to do with their time is to learn or hone a new skill. for cooks, musicians, painters, and gardeners this time period is golden for digging into their craft.
With a huge increase in couch potatoes as well, MasterClass is one of the major streaming services on the rise during this pandemic.
This is an amazing innovation for education and social culture in our time. We are able to learn from those most successful in the comfort of our homes, on our TV screens, phones, and tablets.
People are now sitting in their homes searching for new creative facets to satiate their attention. Musicians usually play for large crowds of people and have now been cut off from that. Athletes are looking to see how they can stay in shape and continue to improve their game while stuck at home. Many cooks aren’t allowed to go to work anymore and are now looking for ways to pass the time. For the one who loves to learn new things or even wants to master something they’ve already been doing, MasterClass is just for them.
MasterClass is taking advantage of the times by offering a special deal. For $90 you can purchase a subscription to MasterClass and receive two passes, one for you and one to give away free.
MasterClass is also continuing to add more and more instructors to its catalog the most recent ones being penn and teller who teach magic and even Ron finley who teaches “how to garden like a gansta”
In times of crisis, many people look to a higher power for answers and protection. There has been an increase in faith and religion from society, a good example of this are Christians. Many churches like Transformation Church led by pastor Michael Todd have continued to spread the truth of the gospel and the good news streaming online through YouTube. The Christian community has maintained a strong presence on social media and has even continued to have small groups using services like Zoom, FaceTime, and GoogleDuo.
If you do not know what small groups are it is a way for Christians to discuss the Bible in a more intimate and private setting focused around community and the individuals where they can ask questions and pray for each other.
The CHOSEN is the first-ever multi-seasonal TV show about the life of Jesus Christ. It is completely funded by viewers through donations and is available free to be streamed from your phone, Apple-TV, or Amazon firestick.
Predictions for streaming and online teaching in a Post COVID-19 life
The first thing that sticks out is every participant in the survey answered “Yes” to the question, “Are you taking online classes or have to work from home?”. In contrast, only 26.8% of participants said they enjoyed working and taking online classes from home, while 73.2% said they did not enjoy it. When asked, “Have you been following social distancing strictly?” 58.5% responded “Yes” and in response to “How often have you been on streaming platforms?” 61% said, “Very often”. It should also be noted that over 50% of participants said they picked up, learned, or honed a new skill during social distancing. This includes, but not limited to, cooking, drawing, hair styling, videography, and foreign language like we so on the previous tableau.
It should also be worth mentioning that most participants responded they would not like to take online classes even COVID-19 was not an issue in the fall
I predict in the future after the pandemic has passed, people will still be glued to their streaming platforms and devices. We already lived in a considerably socially distant world before we were asked not to leave our homes in order to stop the spread of a highly contagious disease. I predict online education will have a huge boom of profits and creativity as many more people lean towards staying home after being in their very first quarantine.
