Greetings,
My name is Sheila P. Gray-Foster, and I am submitting this letter of interest to be considered as the
Executive Administrative Assistant with Project Management experience.
I have served as an Executive Administrative and Personal Assistant to the Founder and Chief
Executive Officer of 3-C Institute in Research Triangle Park. Over the past twenty years, I have held
Executive Administrative and management roles in the fields related to retail management and project
management, and successfully incorporated my customer service skills with volunteerism and
advocacy work to serve the Durham, North Carolina community at large.
My professional experience has required me to conduct research, prepare reports, develop and carry
out plans, maintain and streamline budgets, support teams exceeding over thirty members, and handle
highly classified duties for Executive Officers and Board members. It has been imperative that I be
detail-oriented when coordinating travel and training, handling accounts, payroll, and documentation
for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, as well as funding information
for contracts and clients. My professional and advocacy pursuits have equipped me with written,
verbal, and interpersonal skills to work in fast-paced environments that have required me to handle
company affairs with professionalism and discretion and individuals with dignity and respect.
My interpersonal skills of being pleasant, respectful, and resourceful, have been an asset in working
with groups of varying personalities in corporate environments, start-up companies, and the public. In
addition to utilizing discernment and discretion, I have been certified by the Belmont Report and
Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative Course, confirming that I comply with policies to protect
human test subjects and information in research.
I have a desire to utilize my skills and creativity to serve and grow within this position and contribute
to the stakeholders’ ability to grow results within the business and for the company.
