TITLE:
The title of my music magazine will be called ‘URBAN
TRACKS’ to reflect to genre of my music magazine.
GENRE:
The genre of my music magazine will be an urban music
magazine. this will be a mix of rap and R&B.
AVAILABILITY:
My magazine will be published monthly. This way I will be
able to collect the latest news on urban music for every
month and my buyers will be more eager to want to find
out what is my latest music magazine coming up every
month.
2. IDEOLOGIES:
The ideologies my magazine will promote will
equal rights presenting female as bold as
male. In addition fashion and creativity are
ideologies my magazine . I will do this
presenting my artist on magazine as stylish and
unique. Lastly my magazine will promote hard
work and independent behaviour. I will do this
presenting my artists as independent and
work hard working.
REASON FOR TYPE OF
MUSIC MAGAZINE?
I have decided to create this
type of music magazine, an
urban music magazine - a
mix of rap and R&B being as
there is no music magazine
specialised in urban music
the way there are music
magazines specialised in
R&B, indie rock, and
rock, like VIBE music
magazine which is a R&B
music magazine , like NME is
an indie rock music
magazine and like KERRANG
is a rock music magazine.
3. ATTRACTIONS:
Analysing my survey 15 out 17 said the central image on the front page
would influence them to buy a music magazine. In addition 88.2% said
they would be interested in promotional offers and freebies.
Therefore my magazine will have freebies, gifs, and well-known artists on
the front magazine page to attract my audience to my first edition
magazine.
Adding to that my magazine will have an interesting rhetorical
anchorage and interesting puffs to attract my audience to my magazine.
My magazine will be aimed at females. Informing my focus group on my
magazine plan they recommended me to have my music magazine targeted to
‘16 years to 22’ years being as it is suitable, my magazine should cost ‘£3.00’
being said as a feedback my previous price as £1.99 was too ‘cheap’ and the
colour scheme should be black and white because it relates to my music genre
being said as a feedback my previous colour scheme purple black and white did
not ‘match’ or relate with the music genre.
MAGAZINE CONTENT:
Analysing my survey I created
on survey monkey and was
carried out by 17 people I found
out 76.47% of them said they
want articles on artist and the
other percentage said they
would like to read articles on
music awards.
From this primary planning I
found what people will want to
read in my magazine, so my
magazine will content articles
on artists and music awards
base on urban music (Rap and
R&B).
4. AUDIENCE:
My music magazine will be targeted to be males and females.
My target audience’s social classes will be junior managers or supervisors in
industry or public services like health or education (social class C1) and
Middle managers in companies or public services like health or education
(social class B).
I have chosen theses social classes because they will be able to afford my
magazine being as it is at affordable price this social class and because
they receive reasonable and high incomes.
The music magazine will targeted at people whose interest and
hobbies are listening to urban music; rap music and R&B music, buying
tickets to watch live gigs by rapper artists and R&B artists and enjoys
following the urban fashion trend.
My music magazine will be targeted to innovators, people who want
to make their and on the world, rebels people who want the world to
fit with their ideas of how it should be and trendies people who are
desperate to have the admiration of their peer group.
